Tracido: This patch is so broken, I've removed all mods, uninstalled the game and am going to try it vanilla to make 100% sure they broke it entirely on this rig vs. 1.06,
Wait, mods? Before uninstalling everything, did you try to just disable mods? At least the Cyber Engine Tweaks was not compatible with 1.1, but now there is a brand new update that makes it compatible with 1.1.

Might be a good idea to disable all mods before launching Cyberpunk 2077 the first time after an update.

No, no, no, all mods I was using had been patch updated to 1.1 mod versions before I launched, so, to do a real test I need to remove everything dlete the folders with mods compteley and do a fresh install. Otherwise I cannot be certain this patch is doing the dropping. It's just irritating as I only have so much bandwidth and there were too damn many mods to remember. If it still loses 20FPS after doing this, it's the patch and my specific rig.
Got robbed paying for this game, the latest patch is a waste of time to anyone who completed the game. Nothing but soulless money grabbing tools at that place.

Tracido: to do a real test
Ah. Makes sense now. I am one of those lucky ones who have not really experienced anything significantly game breaking (except the 1.1 download issues today) so I have not bothered with anything more that "still runs ok, good". But yeah, if you experience those constant fps drops or something, yes, it is an excellent idea to start with fresh vanilla and work your way up.

That sucks. When the GOG website works again, perhaps you should download all the offline installers. After today's patch download issues I am planning on doing that. In the mean time you could download the zips for the mods. I usually keep backups of bigger mods and their prerequisite mods in their own folders, just in case. If you use a mod manager like Vortex, you can install mods from a zip file. If you don't use a mod manager... well, then you know how to install them manually.

Ugh, doing a pure install test with 1.1. Alright, they fixed some issues and broke others, well, why am I not surprised..

Yes, everyone now loads without bodies, as ghosts sitting in shadowed clothing for about 10-20 seconds, BUT also, the 20FPS drop has stopped, now it only happens when reloading without exiting the game entirely. my gawd..

I just think some might want to just go away for several patches and not come back until then or leave this game alone, and I can't blame a one of them.

Man that sucks. And I see that the offline files on the website are already 1.1, so installing 1.0 and then patching one update at a time is not possible any more, unless you have the 1.0 files somewhere.

Hopefully after enough bugs have been fixed they start to add some content and if this is the case, this might be a good plan. Later the game might be more stable and have a city you can interact with.

It shouldn't be "release the game now, make it work later", but here we are.
it seemed to run more stable on my rig : 8600k/ 1070ti 16GB ram on medium/high in 1440p.

they seemed to fix the memory leak problem now the game doesn't take more RAM/ VRAM through playing more hours, and driving around the city doesn't casuses as much stutters as before, but the graphics are nerfed the LOD are a lot closer.
Let's see if they fixed the awful video dirver crashes it had!

Four launch attempts, two of which ended with crashes (and a BSOD) later

Nope.

You're still awful, CDPR.
Agree - the patch is a non-event really (for PC players). Realistically you can park it for the rest of 2021 as it will take ages to get consoles working properly and that is the current goal. If CDPR does not think that the PC game is broken, then you will not see any changes to the play mechanics - which still leaves it broken for me.

On top of it all, looking at your comments, v.1.03 is still the best version to play :)))

They didn't even fix the keybindings yet, did they? The patches have been underwhelming. I expected a minimap fix, keybindings fix. UI fixes in general. Like the ability to sort on "Armor Rating".

So many small stuff that they simply haven't touched. Ah well, it is what I expected I guess.

It's even worse than I thought, I tried to change resolution, the menu gets wrecked and unchangable until you re-launch the game.

If you need to switch resolutions you may have to exit the game entirely to fix your menu. Just wow..

Even gets wrecked WORSE if you put the game in windowed mode, the game then freezes visually while you hear the game until you force it to quit the program.

Then when you re-launch it suddenly works fine, unless you need to change it again..

I'm still on 1.06 and everything I'm seeing about 1.1 is negative, still causing GC driver crashes ( a big issue for me) added censorship, even more bugs than before etc.
So I'm thinking I'll be better off skipping this patch and wait until CDPR stop running around like headless chickens and throwing shit at the wall in the vain hope of somehow making this shitshow into a working product?

Robette: The term 'patch' is technically correct and version numbers are somewhat arbitrary anyway, but they definitely set different expectations (again) with the way they announced it.

frogthroat: True. And CDPR's naming convention is anyway a bit ... strange. DLC means a minor addon, maybe a side quest, perhaps a gear set. What people generally understand as DLC they call an Expansion.

So when this free DLC they promised drops after patch 1.2, many people are going to be upset because it's just a new gun or a clothing item and not a huge questline.

But it does sound cool. A free DLC.
They really should hold off on ANY DLC until this game is FIXED, but, we all know that won't happen.
I also noticed a fps dip with this patch, and random textures are broken like the billboards laying on the ground around the rough parts of town.

I also noticed when doing the Delamain questline that I died on one part and reloaded, and the Delamain AI stopped showing in the phone window when talking to me.

On top of that, when doing the same Delamain quest, I was attacking thugs that attacked me and all of a sudden I got bum rushed by another 5-6 npc's including one who was an elite.

Not impressed. Gonna take some time off from this game.
