Been playing this game quite a while but this is a first. I'm fairly certain a mistake has been made because the files can't be mine - i hadn't even been born in 1969. I checked thoroughly, there are no punch cards in my computer. And, though i can't speak with certainty for the cloud location, i'm willing to bet a sterling they are at par - or even above - the technological level of my computer.

Joking aside, i find this to be a problem because i feel i do not know which set of files to keep. How do i assure i do not lose information?

Yeah, weird bug that I've seen a couple of times myself. I usually go with the local file when I know that cloud synch failed. So far, it's worked out and the saved game is correct. YMMV.
