I have read up one the fact that multiplayer is in the work for Cyberpunk but Im not sure that the P2P is the best way to go about it. I feel like this game would really benefit from a multiplayer mode more like GTA 5 In that you have servers. It has made gta5 quite popular in the fact that you can make new friends and gives a lot of potential for those who like to rp as well as giving that real world feel of others possibly taking what ever you are transporting to the client depending on the quest and what it is having you do. This kind of multiplayer has made GTA stick around longer then most games and if im being honest I think a lot of people would like to see something like that set in the cyberpunk universe. Not saying that it has to be a whole new game as was planned to start with given that it does not have to be. Having a P2P option though would be good as well for those that just want to play with people they know. I guess what I am really trying to say is that I feel like it would make Cyberpunk more popular and if done right may bring more copies of the game to be sold, GTA 5 is still selling very well because of it. Cyberpunk 2077 has way more potential then its getting credit for given its rough start do to a rush by the higher ups to get the game out. Yes mistakes were made but that dosent mean that Cyberpunk 2077 cant gain more popularity now that things are being fixed and things are being added. Let me know what you all think :D
They still have a long way to go to deliver a game up to the requirements for all the systems they advertised. But yeah, MP will make the world feel less "dead".
Great idea it can be just like GTA5 with lobby full of hackers and cheaters..
I still hope they do a multiplayer mode but I'd honestly prefer if they handed development of that mode off to a studio that specializes in running online games. That way, CDPR can focus on continuing to make this game even better and then eventually move on to the next Witcher game, not worrying about being bogged down by managing and developing content for an online game.
