I first played a couple years ago and controller worked natively just fine.

Now I have to use either stem or DS4 as workarounds. Both function, but they both use x-input and it gives me the xbox button names, which gets reall annoying having to remmeber which button is which.

Any idea why the game no longer recognizes my controller?

I have tried closing steam and restarting both the game and my computer.
