xmuertemanx: Try "Clean" install of Nvidia driver.
Tried, doesn't help. All I can do is see the CDPR logo, sound starts and withing 1-2 secs I get the flatlined error.

Also tried everything mentioned, including updating Win 10 to 20H2. Going to try different driver update app now too.
I installed the update 1.04 synced my gamesaves (didnt work), which I dont think played into this. Restarted my pc. After starting gog again, savefile sync worked and the game started without a cough. Hope this helps. See you in NC.

edit: one little thing I did too, I have the Geforce Experience client.. (yeah, I know) and I tried to start the game in that client too. Nothing worked or even showed up in the taskmanager. After that I restarted. I think what happened is Nvidia overwrote some grafic settings, since when I went into the game my resolution was lower and some settings different. Maybe that fixed the starting/flatline issue I had before aswell.

Tried that thing with the GeForce Experience too, didn't help. Logo, sound starts, flatline. No matter what...
Idk if you can check the files on your hard drive. In steam there is an option to do so. Maybe gog has that option too.
I had to uninstall previous drivers, clean install, and I turned off both gog and nvidia overlays. Then it finally started, so far with no problems.
I updated my graphic card, repaired Cyberpunk on GOG Galaxy, and then I was able to play the game.
well I just updated from 1607 to 1903 game start to run fine
this bug cost me 2days of not being able to play the game, but the fix is (may work for only some people) move to a folder which have no dots in it's name.

yep, the game just can't read/open dotted folder. simple fix, if you are on steam, the process of moving the gamefile to another folder is a bit harder because you need to close everything like wallpaper engine, or you can move to a different drive.

specificly works for error where you can't open the game at all, and error log:

Error reason: Assert

Expression: commonFileLoaded

Message: Failed to load in-game config file from 'D:Game\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config\settings\options.json'

File: e:\r6.patch0hotfix2\dev\src\common\redconfig\src\ingameconfigreader.cpp(449)

please spread this as i want to do nice things to the world :)
I managed to start my game just now after doing a cleanboot.

My error message was
Error reason: Unhandled exception
Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Message: The thread attempted to write to an inaccessible address at 0x7FFE44C83610.
File: <Unknown>(0)

After going through all the services and apps one by one, the culprit for my system was IBM Rapport Services.
After disabling just this one service, the game now launches from GOG Galaxy for me.

IBM Rapport Services is TRUSTEER Rapport i think which some banks recommend for online banking.

Hope this will help some people!
Startup crash of the game with "Unknown GPU error" for me was "fixed" by installing latest and greatest Win 10 (20H2) on the separate partition (I was using Win 10 1607 before). Which is really bad since I would loved to have known this information in advance before wasting several days on trying to reinstall the game, drivers, and other irrelevant stuff. This means I would never preorder any game from the CDPR (as well as recommend this to everyone else) since they are either dishonest in the way that they do not warn people that "Requirements" are not really "requirements" or that they have a huge bugs on the launch.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Maybe i find a cure for my constant crashes. Article is somewhere, not my idea. Maybe this can help someone:

! Windows 7 !

- Clear game cache by deleting file in :
C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\cache\
Do this after every crash.

- Activate Debug Mode in Nvidia control panel, Help section. Reboot PC, activate it again and EVERY reboot for playing Cyberpunk.

WAITING FOR PATCH. Seems like a problem with non-reference GPU clocks.

I've had the cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined unhandled exception error the fix I found was to upgrade de Windows 10 cos DX12 isn't supported on windows 8.1 it might be the fix you need
No matter what i do, i get always the error cyberp has flatlined

i've tried everything also redownloading the game from gog

everything is update
no overlays running
my pc is enought to run the game as high to ultra
but nothing... i do understand is a great game but this bug should be a priority to solve fast for CDred
