I literally just purchased the game from the GOG store and everytime I click install it says server problem or goes to loading limbo.. I don't understand what's going on here.. I even tried downloading through the browser and no luck. PLEASE tell me there is a fix. Never had this problem with any other game

GoG Galaxy sucks, like every other game client. There is literally zero reason to use it.

You have downloaded all 28 parts of the game before trying to install them locally?
A local download works fine for me.

I recommend trying to download the files to and install them from a physically different disk than the one you want the game installed on.

Like:
OS - C:\
Games install - D:\
Game files download - E:\

If you have 3 separate drives in your system. Makes the install process go faster. I personally try to install as little as possible on my OS drive.
I've only done the offline installer, and it does take some patience to download all 28 of those files. Given the error message you're getting, by all means, give downloading the installer files a shot.
I'm really excited that I just got this for Christmas, but Man!!!

I keep running Integrity Checks, downloading (again) the bad Bin files, and running again.

I've been trying since about this time yesterday. I even tried running the Integrity Check a second time without changing anything, and it coughed up a different report both times.

The first time there were six bad Bins.

The second time, three of those were still bad, and two others that weren't on the original report were bad.

Try and try again - still not getting results.

I started using a different browser to download from. It seemed promising at first since it got it down to one bad Bin - #1. Since then it's been back to this same horse race - one bad Bin after the next.

Not really complaining... just complaining! LOL

Can't wait, though! This game looks Awesome!!!
Oh my. Over and over again I persistently re-downloaded the "Damaged Files" it asked me to. About 24 hours of this and... Oh my... instead of kicking up a message with red text and damaged files... it's Installing!!!

Quite the nice package they have here. Wow. The sourcebook is the actual Roleplay game source book! I've always wanted this! Thanks!

More:

I get it. I do.

This whole thing got pretty darned frustrating. But the whole time I recognized that each of those Bin files are 4GB, so I'm imagining that the slightest blemish from file transfer can cause disruption? I'm only guessing. I don't recall ever really having such difficulty downloading undamaged files before - except for other games here.

Then I thought to myself: They include this File Integrity checker for a reason, and this is it.

So at least I was able to keep pushing on and solving the issue myself - with some words placed here to help relieve the anguish!

So if this happens to you too, just remember to be patient and keep replacing the files it tells you to until it finally installs for you. By the looks of it, this massive game will be worth the effort.

Argh. String Out of Range and some stack error twice and the game still didn't install properly.

Checking Integrity AGAIN!!!
...and still no joy.

Got it to pass integrity check twice now. Still errors out during install.

This is really starting to suck.
Got it to pass integrity again, only to have these errors pop up during the installation process.
What the hell is going on here?

Does Support ever check this forum?

Out of String Range? Argh!

I can actually run the game now. Looks fantastic!

But as soon as I get "Home" from my first mission with Jackie, the game quits and tells me to check integrity.

I hope that, one day I can actually play this thing.

I'll give it a little more, but it's been over 36 hours of straight "Trying to get this fricken thing working". I do have stuff to do.

Tried going to Support for help. What support? I'm really getting upset now.

They suggest getting GOG Galaxy. Tried that. Not only did it not work, but now I have to start all over again from the beginning.

Ready to quit trying.

I have really been loving GOG up until this point.
Well I finally got it working. After 48 hours of madness, bin #24 was stuck on the servers. Probably too many people trying to download it again and again.

I was about to give up. Already uninstalled GOG Galaxy since that didn't get me anywhere at all.

While Bin #24 was being impossible, my last ditch effort was to install it Galaxy again and give it one shot before I just give up until I could get in touch with someone - which I had no clue how to do or how they could help.

Galaxy still had the game downloaded from before I uninstalled it. It didn't really take that long before it was installed and I was playing the game.

I am so happy now (I knew I would be eventually) and I really, Really Love this Game!

The way it felt at the time - having no sleep for all that time - was that, all of a sudden a bunch of servers were pulled off of Bin 24 and poured into Galaxy. Galaxy worked (last night) much faster and stronger than my earlier attempt - but again, it already had the game downloaded.

Anyhow, like I say up a few passages: Hang in there. The game is worth it in the end.
Sounds like your vigilance paid off in the end!
Kudos to your posts, I have never before seen such a rollercoaster of a novel...ehm, game installation attempt story. ^^

See you in Night City!

...If you round a corner and you see a Caliburn on its roof, that's probably me. Or if there is suddenly a Shion "Coyote" falling from the sky. In that case, my game just crashed, and the Let There Be Flight mod rarely keep the levitation after a reload.
LOL!!!
Yeah... I don't think mods work in the Galaxy version of the game - which is what I ended up having to use.

Tried to get that awesome tied top. No dice.

Also:

If I see you falling, V will catch you!

FWIW, I just tried downloading file 25 of 28 (24 bin) and it has stalled again. When I couldn't get the game installed due to Integrity reporting Damaged files, 24 bin was one that came up a lot (as with others) and in the end, Integrity Check said that was the only damaged one left - even though that often changed with subsequent attempts.

The last try before going to Galaxy I tried several attempts, this time 24 was consistently the only one damaged. By that time it simply would not download in a reasonable amount of time. It would go so far, then hang.

I have a feeling that the reason is:

50% off sale - everyone who hasn't bought the game yet has now bought it and they can't get passed BIN 24, so everyone is trying to re-download it over and over and over and....

Seriously. I work with digital media endeavoring to create CG films. I download All The Time. Never have I had such a hard time except for certain games at GOG.

Granted, I'm not much of a gamer. But I shouldn't have to be 'savvy' to anything. It says "Download these files and run the install exe" , it really should be as simple as that.

I believe it was Witcher III and NWN Enhanced that gave me these same troubles. I think KOTOR too, or maybe that was a different issue.

If you got the game to work with Galaxy, then you already have all you need to run it offline.

Just find your game install folder and go to
Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64

And run Cyberpunk2077.exe

Unlike Steam, this opens the actual game instead of just the game launcher.

And there is no reason why mods wouldn't work with Galaxy.
Mods are all installed locally, with any required frameworks.
