I just preordered my copy of 2077 on GOG, and the download speed isn't very fast, i get around 9-10mb/s.

anyone know where are the servers located? i live in UAE and i guess there isnt any server near me atm.

still so excited for the game to drop!!!!

cheers everyone!

I was donwloading at my Max. internet connection speed (40MB/s) so the servers were OK. I suppose it is either caused by your location, or many, many more pople joined the download queue in the meantime. :)
I had solid 100-110MB/s so I guess the problem is the peering between your ISP and the CDN or on your side.
Unfortunately I didn't look up the DNS/IP of the server I got my data from, sorry. :(

It's keeping my 100 Mbps connection maxed. Been getting 95-100 Mbps since I started about 20 mins ago.

When I do a who is on the servers its downloading from its " MCI Communications Services, Inc. d/b/a Verizon Busines"

Edit: Just checked another one of the servers and the CDN is highwinds which is one Steam uses a lot as well. But GOG is downloading from multiple servers and it seems spread across diffrent CDN's

BTW Galaxy 2.0 displays your speed in Megabytes per second not Megabits. So, 9-10 MB/s is about 75 to 80 Mbps. Depends on what your connection speed is as to whether that is good for you or not but just something to keep in mind.
no idea, mine's downloading at about 1/3rd the speed of what it should...it's abysmal lol...then we are going to have 40 some odd gigs on release as well? /rubs face...this is going to be a long drawn out nightmare...i feel like i'm patching everquest back in 1999 on a 56k modem lol
Odd how different the experience is for some. I have a 1Gbps line and I got the full ~100MB/s at a time where I would guess an enormous amount of people preloaded the game on GOG. So I have to say whatever they rent as CDN is more than capable. I will take a look on my firewall when the day0 patch hits to see what they used.

its a typo from me, it should be 9-10MB/s, i have a 250mbps internet, so it should be higher than that, i could easily get 150+ MB/s from steam for certain games

good thing we have preload for this game, otherwise it could be a disaster on the luanch date... hundreds of thousands of people downloading at the same...

if you have pre-ordered it, you should be able to pre-load the game now, its roughly 59G and the download sign is on top of the launcher where you see overview and progression,

im still happy we could pre-load this game because I cannot wait another minute once it officially launches!

Took my connection a little over 30 minutes to download the whole thing, which, given it's not out until the tenth, I'd say was more than fast enough.
It's strange, I got a 400 MB down 20 up internet but getting max 23 MB/s. But it's fast enough I guess.

Byt the way are the Online Goodies (extras) Digital Comic and Artbook coming when the game is released? Can't download those yet.
I've got a 400 MB down and a 25 MB up and I was getting download rates about 30-35/MB the whole time. Took maybe 30 minutes or so... I think it actually had faster download speeds than most games I download from GOG.

You have to use the GOG Galaxy to preload it now or you can wait until the 10th to download the offline backup installer.
