The tuth is a good AI upgrade would vastly improve the origina experience. The AI that was suggested in the first trailers that we did not in the end get - that living city was what made me wave my hand at the initial dark city-sque atmosphere they had promised. In the end we got neither.

Sorry for the stupid question, I don't know anything about coding; how feasible is it to improve the AI?

If you refer to the current zombie-like pedestrian AI, it certainly is possible.

But a more complex AI, with an increased action set (as in, an AI that does more than just walk back and forth), would be more taxing on the CPU, especially in crowded areas.

That's why it already is recommended to decrease the pedestrian count if there is noticeable FPS drops when for example driving around in City Center.

What would be most likely impossible to improve, however, is the absolute joke physics in the game. Fair enough, CP77 isn't a driving sim, but a certain amount of realism is expected from a game that set its own standards so high (and under-delivered in almost every aspect).

I wish they would improve driver-AI, it doesnt feel like Cyberpunk at all, when people are driving like 70 year old dudes.

Amen to that. Also, at least some reaction when driving around in a (albeit stolen) police car with the sirens on would be expected.

But even when driving into someone with a police car only gives the default response - of basically not caring.

There is also zero reaction when driving either a car or a bike on the sidewalk if staying below ~8 KPH...but go above that even once, and everyone runs away, screaming that you're a maniac.

Common courtesy would be to let the car or bike eventually go by, ESPECIALLY when honking the horn and reving the engine, clearly indicating the driver wants to get by. But no AI care was given that day...or any other day.

Nice to get some support. Lets hope CDRP listens, traffic, driver ai , streets etc, should most definitely work for this game series.

The first and seemingly also the only addon for Cyberpunk will be Phantom Liberty:

But there is also a mention about working Cyberpunk 2 :)

I'm looking forward to it. I think it will be on Unreal Engine 5, which should make it look better and run smoother.
