I don't think that'll work. They probably thought of that. Plus I think it goes by server time. Which you cannot change.

didn't look into the exe but they for sure simply have a stub, everything else would be over engineering and not foolproof anyways. Because asking for a specified timeserver would be foolish as you can redirect IPs (not even talking about DNS which would be trivial). The best way would be cryptography and a server which would send the key to a given time, but as I said: why so much hassle? Simply give a stub on preload and the real main exe file on launch.
