First: The game is good and i recommend it to friends (in some wekks, when some patches arrive)

And here is my problem.

Patches are needed, many patches in my eyes. But there are problems that cant be patched i think, cause we would get a "new" game if they do that.
What i mean is, there is so much potential in this game and the characters are beautiful written. The story is very good. But:

Where is the lifepath after 30 minutes? Gone
Where is the mono rail from the trailer? In game but not functional
Where are the "chooses" in the story and quests? At the ending, in 20 seconds mini videos...
Why are there so many quests that doesn´t feel finished? Judy´s Questline is good and come to an end, but what is with River ward? Sitting by his house and give you the same 3 answers, every time. You can have a romance with him, one time, never again, and the same old 3 answers every time...
The Peralez, you help them, or not, is your choice, ok, but what is that call from "they"? V doesn´t do anything. They warn you and you do nothing? Same with the Tyger Claws bosses. You can kill them and then? You hear that this was a bad choice, MOX are dead and clouds is in hell, cause they revanged your fight for them. No Maiko option to kill also the Tyger claws bosses in the background. No revenge option after MOX get killed, nothing.

At the end its all to much for that little game, i know. But the quests in Witcher are more "ended" and feeling final then the quests in cyberpunk.

You travel trough that beautiful city and the story is great, also the characters. But more and more till the end of the game, there are more and more bugs, not good feeling quests, rushed content, bad animations and not final systems.
The character system is not balanced, the weapons are not balanced, the cyberware is not balanced, Street cred is good for what? Why i level that? There are so many systems in the game where i wonder why there are here? Some things feel obsolet and useless and that CDPR is not what you want and not what we want.

Where are the 8-9 Years development? It feels like an little double AA production from a small studio but not as a Tripple A production of 8 years from a hundreds employe company.
I dont want to attack anybody, not the management, not the company itself, or any person in it, but this game needs more then polishment, it deserves to be finished.

With a monorail, with more interactions in the world, with not rushed quests, with not rushed canceld features, with features that matters, with choiced that matters. And i know you cant do that, cause that is a new game at the end... Please CDPR: Be more realistic with your next game and dont rush it to the market, dont give us a release date when you must cancel features, things and your game feels good.

Cyberpunkt is a good game, with lots of potential and that is my critic.

Very good observations and expressed in nice to read way. Thanks for sharing it in the way that encourage dialog, not very popular approach nowadays.

I think we have seen multiple evidence from different players that what CP2077 s now looks like project which changed direction at least mid way if not very late in development. Result looks like two different game styles hard pressed together in one game.
Me coming form software projects background, I wish some day we would hear from CDPR some sort of honest and open story about how they come out with the product in this shape. It would be good for everyone - them, fans but also any other future development efforts from anyone.


I specifically like that you brought cyberware implementation and street cred. That is something I think they should rework completely. It should cyberware not only be governed by primary attributes, but also should impact something like empathy / emotion stat. which should affect how others perceive to your character. Maybe even give you some cyberpsyhosis symptoms if you go full chrome body?
And combined with street cred levels this could have impact on how different people react on your character. Full chrome on the outside and maybe some paramilitary or mealstorm will like you more. Low mod levels - maybe more traditional groups will like you?

And going totally over the top maybe you could cover (or intentionally expose) cyberware with proper set of cloths, which would also affect how other react on you.


Sounds like huge rework for sure. I do not know if it is possible with current game engine and other gameplay design decisions, but I'd love to see this.
Thank you for your post. I think also it is not really possible to "finish" the game "Vision" they have in the past. Maybe its not possible in the engine, maybe its possible but take 2-4 years to realise it, both situations are not "good" for nobody in this situation.

The game is released, no one would say "hey guys, thanks for buying, we have decided to make a new game, but also give you, the community, a small team of 30-40 people from us and develop the game in a early access way with you. That make it possible to polish and finish it with you in the next years"
Would be cool, for me, not everyone, i know, but could be a way. I know also its not realistic, cause ressources are not cheap and the community begin that sort of messages with a shit storm like "seeeee!!!!! as we thought!!!! its not finished!!!! eat sh**, i ki*** you (which, by the way, is really nice and an incentive for the developers...)"

To add something to my last post, my girlfriend and i discuss a lot of this game and played it both with severel decissions and endings. So here are some new things we found by talking over the game.

The interaction with the world is "not much", no one reacts on you, street cred? Do nothing, Chrom? Do nothing.
GTA San Andreas had a system that your body changed when you eat/do sport, that was years ago. Cyberpunk in 2020 can show you your arms when you modify it, thats it. your body is not changing for the people around you, nothing happens when you modify you and your body.

People doesnt react on your decissions.
Romance with Panam? Fine, good work, you have a romance with Panam and now? Nothing. I can go to the Aldecaldos and can do.... nothing... I cant sleep with her again, same 4 answers every time, no comments on my "travel/journey". Horizon zero Dawn had a nice little feature, i can go to the grave of ROST and give him a short summary of my adventure. So there is more interaction to the dead in other games than to the living in this one...
All Romances are like this. You have one but its one time and after that till the end no interaction, nothing.

Maiko say when you kill the Tyger Claws bosses in the meeting, other Tyger Claws will come and want revenge. And V ignore that so you must live with the consequences, yes, i know how that work, from The Witcher, but not in that way...
This feels bad, you know that wouldnt work and there are more Tyger Claws for revenge and will kill the MOX and you do nothing. It feels bad, really bad. Idea: You kill the Tyger claws bosses in the background in a mission you get from maiko (based on deccision after you killed the bosses) and eliminate the tyger claws, like the voodoo boys before. Then MOX get killed and clouds go to hell, cause the maelstrom gang use the "power vaccuum" and get the tyger Claws business. Same ending, but feels better and complete. Cause you do what you can to avoid it and what you know, but you cant avoid things you didnt know...

Same thing with Jacky Welles when you decicde to drive his body ti VIK. You know his body is at Arasaka but you cant do anything with that info... Cant get the body for his famaliy, nothing. Its your best buddy and V ignore that info and do nothing. Evelyn is buried, the major and even a TURTLE! But not jacky, thats fine.

No sets in the game, clothes that go together. The whole game you run around like a clown, cause your primary focus is a good armor.

The animations at the end... The one time you see your charakter in the end cut and what we see? No mimic, no reactions, no animations, its like a puppet.

The Cop Ai - If you don't understand just that tiny statement you've not played enough of the game, Let alone the corruption and lack of story interactive Cop Ai.

The numerous Selection bugs with items in inventory now causing a reinstallation of mods by Ripperdoc, How far apart is the TW3 in regard to their own engine and getting the order of operation right.

Others have said it and I'm not seeing it as a priority but the lack of character customisations in regard to appearance after creation excluding cybermods, tattoos and painting your mods etc.

The Npcs are so terrible the crowds in Hitman Blood Money where better than this.

Fist Fights Fully jacked hit once by razor fight over even blocking.

They didn't want to be the Duke Nukem Forever guys that was truly a failure of a game.
