If the screenshot is an example of the areas you get the performance drops, then this is a typical CPU issue.
Crowded areas, whether it be lots of vehicles on a road or pedestrians walking around, is more taxing on the CPU.

This is not a bug, it's just how any game works when there are lots of non-static objects on the screen.

I have the same issue with frame drops with my 10900K when for example driving around in City Center.
Many people seem to be having a bit more of a performance drop in these situation with the latest patch. I’ve been searching for a workaround as well. Also tried lowering crowd to med and SSD mode off. It helps but still. Specially I’m seeing performance degrade more over time. After a couple of hours playing or so. Not game breaking but would be great if there is some workaround.
This happens to me when i active "local shadows" in RT section, i think there are problem with that one, no other RT giving me problem. I have Rtx 3070 btw.

I think this is why this problem came as new because with 1.5 they added "local shadow" option which is broken... I hope they will fix with 1.6 update.

Things we didn't see since launch:
Ongoing dedication to fix all the problems
AddOns

What we see:
A very slow pace of keeping people calm
A game which didn't match what was promised

Since february we didn't get any substential news and somehow an AddOn is promised.
We will see when and if 1.6 hits, I got the impression CDPR simply ducks and doesn't care anymore how much reputation they lost. It seems to be cheaper for them to simply forget about CP2077 or at least that's how it feels to me.
All in all CP2077 was a sh*tshow of broken promises in my books.
