Hi,
Not that long after it game out, I played C2077 here on GOG - enjoyed it, even if it was a bit rough around the edges.
However, after reading about the 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty DLC, I decided to give the 'relaunched' game another go. Therefore I purchased Phantom Liberty from GOG, also downloaded the free REDmod as well. I did not download or install any mods (apart from REDmod), nor muck about with any mod managers like Vortex.
Alas, unfortunately, the game will not start. I always get the message: "REDscript compilation failed ... This is caused by an encoding error: invalid instruction code 138", plus after it says: "Whoa! Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined". Yes, obviously, I Googled around - deleted everything in the 'cache' folder within the r6 folder, tried verifying & repairing the files, start the game directly from the C2077 icon/executable, but nothing worked.
Also, even though I tried to Configure the game not to sync saves, etc to the GOG Galaxy Cloud - that is what it always tries to do. Hence I get the message: "Some files uploaded to GOG Galaxy Cloud conflict with files on this computer. What location has the most recent date:
~~ GOG Galaxy Cloud - last modified 54 years ago
~~ This computer - last modified 54 years"
Also unfortunately, selecting IGNORE does to make any difference.
Any idea what the problem might be? Any advice or tips would be most appreciated, as it is a very frustrating experience. My tech specs are:
Windows 10 Home (64-bit); Intel i5-9400F 6 Core ("Coffee Lake"); Asus Prime H310-Plus R2.0 (Intel LGA 1151 ATX motherboard) (Intel H310 chipset); Palit Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ampere StormX OC 12GB; 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX (RGB PRO DDR4 3200mhz); Asus STRIX SOAR PCIe 7.1 Surround (with DAC); Adata SX8200 Pro M.2 SSD 512GB (PCI-E NVMe); Corsair CV650 80+ Bromze 650w PSU
Many thanks,
Danny O'Dare
