I wouldn't call it worthless, necessarily, but it depends on a number of factors. You may have to respec.

There is a mod for attributes respec, but it hasn't been update yet.

OTOH, if you are low-level enough, you may just keep going and "spec up" instead. You may want to use a level uncapper mod (that one has been updated).

So, no, it's not entirely worthless, but it may take some work to bring back in line with what you wanted your V to be like - or it may require you to scrap your original plans entirely, even though it may be feasible to do so.
