I'm also unable to update my graphics card firmware because I have an Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1060 "with max Q design" and the only firmware updates on Nvidias site for my card is "studio" or "game ready" (which actually mentions "ready for Cyberpunk2077") Upon trying to update my firmware the update says "nope! you need "standard" not "game ready", which is hilarious because the card came in a gaming laptop, 100% untouched and unmodded in any way, it's factory fresh untouched, and it wants a "standard" firmware update that doesn't exist on Nvidias site. Guys, am I totally doomed here? Does this mean that I can never play Cyberpunk? I could run the Witcher 3 and Kingdom come deliverance on almost max settings, but somehow I can't run Cyberpunk2077.

I don't know if this helps anyone troubleshoot their issue but i've found a (tedious) workaround. Read on if you are using a high resolution or a wide screen monitor since that might have something to do with it.

System: surfacebook 2. Normally playing with it connected to an external monitor that is 34 inches.

I started the game when the monitor was not connected and it started up fine. Later game crashed or i had to exit and i got the flatline when trying to restart with the monitor attached. I tried disconnecting the monitor and starting -- still flatlined.

what worked for me several times was to run the "manage installation/ Verify repair" option. Key is that after doing that, i have to disconnect the monitor before starting. After it starts when i connect the monitor it first shows up at some crazy low resolution and then i can raise it back up. This has happened several times.

[update] unfortunately this isn't working for me today... it did work ~5 times over last few days so not sure what's up.

Hey man, update your WIndows 10 to build 1909 or higher- That worked for me. As much as I hate this new version of Windows, updating ended up fixing all my problems with the game flatlining on boot! Hope this helped!
Have you installed Nvidia Experience (NE) ? What happend when you open NE and you try to update your card driver from there ?

Windows 10 ?

I have a similar issue, since I'm running the server version of Win10. What worked for me was selecting the "Studio Driver" option on the search page, but then when you get to the page with the "Download" button, right-click the button and copy the link, and in the copied URL where it says "...-nsd-dch-whql.exe..." remove the "dhc" part (and one of the dashes) so it just says "...-nsd-whql.exe..." When pasting the modified link, it gave me a download that did actually install.

Sadly, the game still crashes for me with a "graphics card crash for unknown reason" error, but I am able to update my drivers at least.
