I own CP2077 on xbox one (bought it on day 1) and want to switch to pc, since the xbox one experience is still very buggy, glitchy, etc. I was wondering if, since there's a free upgrade to a series x/s, there's a way to get a free "upgrade" to pc as well, since i've gotten a new pc in the meantime and wanted to play it with actual good quality. basically, i'm asking if i can get the game for free on pc, if i already own it on an another platform. specifically, xbox one.
i haven't been able to find anything that would indicate this being possible and i'm not really expecting it to but it would be nice & i might as well ask.

In a legal sense, it is highly unlikely that you will get a PC version for free just because you own the game on a different platform or in any way "trade" the version you have for another.
So your only option would be getting (read: pirating) a GoG torrent of the game.

You could wait until the game goes on sale again, as it recently was. Or, you know, just buy it.

GoG games doesn't require a game client, a serial key or online activation, which is precisely why I exclusively buy my games here. I have pirated quite a few GoG games to try before I buy, and the ones I like are now in my GoG game library.

I pirated Cyberpunk 2077 when it was on the 1.03 patch, and the game truly wasn't ready back then. So had I purchased it in that state, I would have wanted my money back. But I was okay with buying it here after the 1.2 patch.
