There was an upgrade that I needed to select, even tho a) Viktor said he was going to do that, *and* he was in the process of doing that before I even entered the 'upgrade selection screen' or whatever ya wanna call it. And B) literally every single possible selection was red because I don't have any money to pay for anything since I'm like 5 minutes into the game, and C) I am sure I had already been in that submenu several times before and the pay option is unavailable because like I said, I don't have any money.
All it would have taken would have been a pulsating color around the icon that I need to select (since it is a critical progress/game halting selection) you know like um, 158,327 other games do in that situation?
Really thankful I found Zaemar's comment here, but SO MAD that I would pay money for a guest spot on the podium at the next developers meeting for this game. I was unable to continue from Friday afternoon, until Tuesday when I found this solution. I tried every fix or workaround I could find, including uninstall, reinstall, repatch, and even level a new character to get to the same point to test it.
Thanks again, and going back to the game - after getting smacked in the face with a HUGE spoiler from gosunoob.com while looking for a solution to the ripperdok viktor problem. Too bad stupidity isn't painful.
