So downloaded patch 1.2 but then when I try to start the game the gog luncher starts scanning the files and after a few minutes shows that it had failed?
If you're using Galaxy, klick on the 'alert' triangle for a more descriptive error message. You probably need more free disk space to complete the update.

I have 90 gb free space, how much does this need? It mentioned something about 60gb at first so I freed up the smace didn't mention anything else after

With me, a crash widow stayed in the background that I did not see until I closed Galaxy??? Why didn't it come to the front like most other critical alerts, I do not know? But after that, I started Galaxy again and the update installed and all is fine now.
Can anyone help?

Im trying to update Cyberpunk 2077 to the newest patch 1.61 but it fails everytime. I have tried to free some space but even though it keeps failing, I have no idea how much space should I free since GOG galaxy (gonk installer) does not tell me. Anyone have an idea on what I should do?

I also have the same problem, I've deleted all my mods and removed Redmod too

Edit : The solution was to free even more space, I had 50gb of free space but needed around 20 more to donwload a 1.73gb update...

I've made a list on the free disk space requirements for the patches (sadly missed a couple in my haste to get the 1.6 exclusive "Let There Be Flight" mod...)

Note that these numbers are for the OFFLINE installers. I have never tried patching through GoG Galaxy (don't even have that telemetry tracking crap installed).

Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.05-GOG - requires 104.804 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.06-GOG - requires 5958 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.1-GOG - requires 13.146 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.11-GOG - requires 5996 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.12-GOG - requires 260 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.2-GOG - requires 381.401 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.21-GOG - requires 6874 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.22-GOG - requires 6954 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.23-GOG - requires 7108 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.3-GOG - requires 385.658 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.5-GOG - requires 545.132 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.5.1-GOG - requires 65.858 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.5.2-GOG - requires XXX MB of disk space. (est. ~240 MB)
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.52-GOG - requires XXX MB of disk space. (est. ~12.000 MB)
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.6-GOG - requires 143.588 MB of disk space.
Cyberpunk.2077.Update.v1.61-GOG - requires 14.852 MB of disk space.

When you have games installed on an SSD, as you should these days, you should always have at least 15 % of max capacity as free space at all times.

I have a personal rule of thumb of 25 % to ensure optimal performance.
Had an update issue tried everything they listed in help and other such things..

Uninstall Galaxy
Reinstall Galaxy

click the cog in the top left add games blah

scan for games choose the folder/directory your games are located in try the update again.
