Seems like the others already answered most of your questions. I'd like to add, as you mentioned you enjoy games with nice graphics, there are many 2D games which look great but don't have high system requirements. Generally all games with pre-rendered or hand drawn backgrounds, so your computer doesn't have to render all the graphics from 3D objects in real time. Since you seem to like Hidden Object style games, you'd probably also enjoy more traditional or story based Point&Click Adventures. GOG offers quite a few good 2D P&C Adventure games.

That said, I just looked up the performance of your graphics card, and it seems to be reasonably powerful. Not enough to play the latest fancy 3D releases with photorealistic graphics, but it should be good enough for most of the games here at GOG. Pretty much all of the classics, and most of the Indie games and "AA" modern games.

I'm not sure what GOG's refund policy is, when you find out that your computer isn't fast enough for a game you bought. They might be willing to give you a refund, at least in store credits, if you contact support about it. On Steam refunds are easy, but only if you didn't already play the game for more than 2 hours.

Games are for everyone, back when we used to play World of Warcraft there was a married couple in the guild that where in their late 60's. Their son was also in the guild and their grandson had joined just before we left.

Me and the wife will keep playing as long as our minds and fingers let us.

Thats a good PC that you have. You should be able to play most games with no problems. With some of the newer 3D actions games, you might have to reduce the resolution and graphics settings, but most games will play just fine. This PC will run Stellaris without breaking a sweat. Just post on GOG if you need help adjusting resolution and graphics settings to get any future purchase to run smoothly. Welcome to the PC Master Race :)
