I was trying to into A Song of Ice and Fire WIki and all of a sudden I get this security check captcha requirement.

And it was not the first time I got it.

Is it me or something is wrong with certain websites that gets this?

It didn't ask me to enter any captcha. It's probably cloudflare which for some reason doesn't like your IP.

Could it have something to do with bill payments?

I have not paid for my internet for a week in the month that it has to be paid. I am about to do it tomorrow.

I don't even know what a Proxy is or how it is used?
I have seen these once in a while when using TOR, can't remember what I was looking for though, but never on a "direct" connection.

what is that with a ..... google captcha before i can login?
i think google has gone nuts or so.....

since when does google decide if a site gets a captcha ?
does gog know about this captcha?
does any site knows about that captcha?
Are you using a VPN? If so then that will be the reason.

Uh that problem I had with the Ice and Fire wikia is no longer a problem.

I do not know why the recent poster bumped this thread?

because a captcha showed up when login into gog, i made screenshots, but noone believes it, so.....
now i tried it again and made 2 deliberate typoos , and guess what? the captcha didnot show up

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/increasing_login_security_recaptcha/page1

how about that? :D

check screenshot , this text and topic proves i am not seeing ghosts, to think i would photoshop a captcha? shame on you guys :D hahahaha

as you can see , i dont lie, like i said: i hate liars and lying, thats why i dont vote anymore during the elections .
so next time i i say i saw a weird thing :D please trust me, dont doubt me, i hate lying, when i say i saw a weird thing, its true, trust me.

proxy: use google to search for info
easier then it sounds, normally your browser uses your default from windows (which you entered when installing windows or if you had not internet during at the time of installation you can add it later)

vpn: virtual private network (google)

look ook vpn: About 109,000,000 results (0.34 seconds)
and pick the link you like, there are plenty of them.

i dont use either.

edit: login now on any browser; no google captcha anymore
