I only used Windows XP back in the day so my only experience with one of those Microsoft Assistants was with Rover, the search dog (I learned he originated from Microsoft Bob just recently). But even without witnessing Clippy back in his heyday, I knew about him. In fact, his creator was just as surprised (but glad) as us that he's still remembered.
