Microids announce Asterix&Obelix XXL2 remastered a really cool platform action game with the two comics protagonist of the homonym series.
In this game you should really kick some Romans ass XD.

This is very nostalgic for me since it was my first game that I consciously chosen.
Also, the PC version (for XP) does not work on modern system without this patch:

A not-official patch made by theIpatix just last year just for the original DVD version.

There is yet no official digital version of this game, and it was not even released in US (this is what is written on wikipedia) just on Europe (since there are few people fan of Asterix on US).

Not just that, next year they will also release a sequel! Yes, a complete new game!

There is no news about XXL1 for now.

I think this is the first time that I'm actually exited about a nostalgic game of my childhood since I only started playing few years ago with few exceptions (the other one was Disney Aladdin).

What do you think? Will we get a gog release?

well.... I still have the original dvd version... but I really wish they will not use denuvo.

PS. After all they already removed it from Syberia III, that it's here on gog.
Also it's a remastered, not a new game.

Sure, half a year after its original release. Still no good for Moto Racer 4 or Yesterday Origins. They can always get a hint from Sega and Shenmue.

Well, if it use denuvo I will not buy it (like every game that use denuvo).
But I still wish it will not use denuvo, and if it will use it I wish they will remove it.

Voted. I love Asterix so much I still buy the new comics, even though they are just a pale shadow of the original run, so I'd love to see these games get a DRM-free release.

Cool i do own world of asterix games which also has xxl1 and xxl 2 and mega madness and asterix gallic wars.
I even bought the asterix at olympic games at the time it was released. All the games are for pc that i have.
Funny thing i needed that patch to make asterix xxl work even though i am on xp.
I do like asterix games and am kinda excited to see xxl3 if that is the next sequel.
Wonder what they will remaster in xxl2 though.

I bought XXL from a sale years ago without any knowledge of the game mostly because I love the series and the graphics looked good. Thankfully the game was pretty good as well. If the games get here I can recommend them for anyone who likes action adventure plarformers.
