I like Batman as much as anyone else but why do we always have to see him as the ultimate bad ass capable of beating other Superheroes that he is no match for in all honesty. Don't get me wrong I am still intrigued to see how the whole movie plays out but I am not over hyped for it like many are after watching this trailer. Also Jesse Eisenberg looks set to ruin every scene he is in with his take on Lex Luthor which is just him doing his schtick like in every other movie similar to "the Social Network" or "Now you see Me".
That "Red capes are coming" line delivery was absolutely atrocious and cringe worthy IMO, so far Eisenberg has only proven that the skepticism regarding his casting as Luthor was right and a mature actor like Bryan Cranston or John Hamm would have been the better choice instead.
As for Superman not speaking in the trailers, I think it's a very deliberate move. The first trailer especially was clearly set up to be the point of view of the people who fear and hate Superman. This trailer is less clear cut in that, but it still is all about how others perceive Superman, some as enemy, some as friend (Alfred is apparently no in agreement with Bruce here).
But I mostly agree with you on Lex. I hope the trailer makes it look worse than it is.
