So I did read the Offical GOG galaxy discussion thread, it said go vote for a feature you want which I did. I'd like to request mod support for GOG Galaxy. Something like the Steam Workshop. I'm guessing you can do a lot better though.

It's still one of the big things that keep me from switching over here completely. Playing with a friend who would have the game on steam and the mods. Plus to be honest I'm lazy installing something with a button and uninstalling it as easily basically is where I'm at with my preferred modding. When I was younger didn't bother with mod managers or whatever I simply copied the files over and had to try to remember what went where in case I wanted to uninstall it. Now as I said, lazy.

I think this is probably one of the things that keep more people from switching? That and the really big thing that basically kept me from even thinking about it till you started GOG Connect. Why would it be in my interest to switch platform if I literally have hundreds of games on steam? I'd obviously want to keep giving them money for more features, games, and peace of mind that they aren't going anywhere.

I'd like it if GOG connect was more active so I'd have more of a chance of moving over more games. I had been thinking that since the program started, then I sat back recently and realized even if I switch would I get what mods are on the workshop? Whether it's for single or multiplayer. Obviously, I don't really expect you to plug into Steams workshop for all their games and use those mods. Having the feature though I hope would make the modders more likely to put their mod over here.

Just some of my thoughts and opinions. Thanks for hopefully reading GoG and have a good day.
You could of course just get a sticky note, write GOG on it, and stick it over the Steam logo? This is effectively what your asking for, Steam, but with a different name.

I'd say that a mod workshop is a pretty likely feature to occur with Galaxy in the future as convenience features like that are highly desired by a large part of the gaming community out there. GOG's ultimate goals with Galaxy appear to be making it an attractive optional gaming client platform by adding more and more of the most heavily in demand convenience features that gamers at large want to see. Naturally however some things are more in demand than others, and some things take much longer to develop due to the scope of the feature.

Be sure to vote for such a feature on the Galaxy wishlist if you'd like to see it happen. It has a lot of votes currently but spread across multiple requests in the system because people don't search the system first before submitting duplicates:

I expect we'll see a mod workshop eventually, but I bet it wont be for another couple of years due to the number of other features higher on the wishlist and how long it takes GOG to add new features to Galaxy, but that could change if there is a surge in interest perhaps.
Mod management is something that would be extremely useful. I'd rather not have a GOG equivalent of Steam Workshop though - that causes more harm than good. If it could work with Nexus mods though then it would be a killer feature.
