are we going to get the 1.1 update that came everywhere else on April 19 or did i just throw away my money ? the updates on this site are done so poorly like how Darkest Dungeon never got the last update and the free DLC and a few others games that also just get abandoned.

You should contact the developer or publisher about the missing update. I'm not sure why devs have such a hard time updating on GOG. Maybe they just hate GOG because they don't make as much money here compared to Steam?

There are two options that could be happening. Maybe more if I missed one.

1.
They will release the patch after the Steam version is fixed. Because steam will always come first.

2.
They don't care about GOG users and have abandoned us.

I'm going with 1 because the game had a bad launch, and steam comes first.
It is difficult to blame GOG for this, at least for the ignorant consumer like myself who is unfamiliar with the inner workings of GOG. All fault could be on either party for games being updated slowly, or it could differ on a case by case basis. But it is certainly annoying, and it's inconsistent. Taking two games I happen to have followed, Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles and Eastward; the former was receiving updates but is now lagging months and patches behind Steam, but the latter has continued to be updated in a timely manner.
Regardless of who is at fault, it's certain to look bad for the developers but primarily GOG and must hurt sales or reputation in some capacity. Do or should GOG be pressing developers to maintain their products, for the sake of the customers? It seems like a waste of resources and a common courtesy the companies should provide customers, regardless of how small a share of the customer base GOG occupies.
