We have a special offer for everyone who loves dynamic, action-packed games! When you buy BIOMUTANT in our store, GOG will gift you a complimentary copy of Shadow Warrior 2 Standard Edition! The serial key to redeem this game will be added to your GOG library automatically after purchasing Biomutant (please select the game in the library through your browser, then click "More", and finally enter the “Serial Keys” section).

This offer is available until the 1st of June, 2021, 5 PM UTC, yet the serial key you acquire thanks to it stays active until you redeem the game at any time in the future. Users who pre-ordered BIOMUTANT before this special offer has launched will receive the serial key for Shadow Warrior 2 Standard Edition at no extra charge. All pre-order purchases made before the official game release also come with the Special Mercenary Class DLC and the Official Soundtrack for Biomutant.

BIOMUTANT is an open-world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG unlike any other. It will bring you tons of fun with its unique hero, martial arts styled combat system, and the storyline you can shape by making choices along the way.
Someone remind me in a few years.
Why we don't receive the soundtrack in high quality like the steam customers? (see attachement)

ThomNG: Enjoy the release and this special gift of GOG for all buyers :)

As on the Mercenary DLC: it will be available as separate purchase at a later date.

Cheers
Experiment 101 did a good job here (albeit a bit unfinished) for a small team, but I'm guessing you sat the price? Almost 80$? While many have 10-15% off on release... And it seems to miss the soundtracks?

And then you have the gall to ask for even more in a separate DLC?

Kindly get lost, THQ! And I say that in the nicest way... like a furry mutant, in a forest somewhere... to another furry mutant. :D

Who has 10-15% off on release? Not Steam, and I didn't look at Epic, but I doubt they do either. If anything, the release here is better than anywhere else, because Steam isn't offering a free game with it.

Soundtrack came for free with pre-order, as did the class DLC. Class DLC will be available for individual sale at a later date. Can't buy it here now, on Steam, or anywhere else.

GOG version gets you a free copy of Shadow Warrior 2. That makes GOG the best place to buy this game, hands down.

Thanks, that was something I wanted to know, I will pick it at some point, I want the game but I can't spend us$100 right now , it's a shame the game doesn't include regional pricing in my country that would help a lot :/

Some actually does. Like I saw one just a few days ago here on GOG, and I've seen it elsewhere also. It's actually not uncommon but I'm no database for that kind of historical information. But yes, it might have been better to use "some" instead of "many" (game(r)s).

So, only tied to pre-order (which is BEFORE we know how the game really is) and a pricey DLC later? To that price I'd expect to see/get more included.

You get no argument from me there, still, it doesn't negate the fact that SW2 is an older title which I think many already had that have been on a high sale many times over. Do you really think they would've done that if they would've have lost on it? Of course not, it's all purely calculated based on previous sales. (EDIT: GOG are not doing this out of kindness. They do it to make it seem like a better value than it really is...)

And it's still priced a lot higher than a game like CyberPunk 2077. A game that IS technically classified as a triple-A open world game... this game isn't.

Almost 80$ with more paid DLC's on the way is just "smokey" to say the least to what we actually get. :D

Good question.
Where's the FLAC version (which I assume "high-quality audio" is referring to, wouldn't say no to WAVs though), Lebowski?

Links to the stores then? I checked Steam, and a couple keysellers in Fanatical and Greenman Gaming. No discounts at either, and no free game like you get at GOG. Maybe they (keysellers) had a pre-order discount (no idea if they did or not, but they have no discount now), but that's a keyseller, and you surrender any type of buyer protection in the form of refunds to get a measly discount.

Reviews flooded the internet on Monday which gave people an entire day to get a pre-order in if they really wanted to. That's plenty of time to get an idea of how good a game is, and then you'd still get the soundtrack and the DLC class included.

And complaining about Shadow Warrior 2 being an old game? Come on, man. I mean, it's not that old, and it's a really good game. You also get a key no matter if you own it already or not, and with that you could trade it, or give away to a friend or something.

And why would THQ be doing this exclusively on GOG? If they were doing this why wouldn't they do this on Steam, which would likely generate more sales, and in your mind dupe more people into thinking it's a better value than it really is with a free game? You make no sense here. I'd say this has everything to do with GOG making this promotion happen, because no one else has any freebie with the purchase.
Wow, reviews have been scathing...

... but...

... it looks cute and original. Love the Batman-esque "BAM!," "POW!," "KABLAM!" onomatopoeia

Other games, not this one. That's the second time you've completely missed what I've written.

Third time. I wrote it's an "older" title that have been on a heavy discount earlier (as in value is already low). I did agree with you about it being a better deal on THIS game on GOG compared to other stores. Though, 2016 is relatively old, just look at the discount SW2 have had (other's here can tell you exactly how much as, again, I'm not a db on that historical information).

I would have been a little more impressed if GOG gave out the Deluxe Edition with the extra bonus. However, with or without - the price is just way too high, especially for others in some part of the world.

And no, a day is way too little to really examine an open world-game. It took several days before one could really see and gather all that was missing and broken in CyberPunk 2077. Besides, not everyone (including me), can read about it all the time. Maybe you were available yesterday to look into it further, but I certainly wasn't. Only tonight I had time to see some reviews and talking to friends that have tried it.

But I see you're more interested in misunderstanding what I write. Anyway, we are allowed to have our opinions. Good night. ;)

It has been given out as a freebie.
I guess here's the latest addition to the club of games-to-hate-because-it's-cool.
Not saying that Biomutant doesn't deserve a fair amount of criticism but the way it's been lambasted by some of those so-called professional journalists and reviewers... wow.
This is a very-tempting offer, for a very-interesting-looking open-world game (a genre I really like).

Published by THQ Nordic; of which published some of my favorite and/or much-liked games (Gothic 3, ELEX, Risen series, etc.).

If it wasn't for the idea that DLC's are going to come out (a gaming reality that I don't care for), I would have already purchased. That DLC reality is holding me back - I may make this one of the few exceptions, but haven't decided yet... (get it now despite DLC's coming; or await the "gold" version some years from now...).

Need to contemplate on that for a day or three..
So this is a game I've *really* been looking forward to, ever since the Day One Release announcement YEARS ago (Fade to Silence, this one and one more I can't remember). So I'll toss up a few very early impressions (I've played for like an hour or two).

So far, cool game. Super fluid movement in the world - jumping around and moving from A to B is really smooth and easy - no herky jerky stops - just really nice smooth movement. The melee / gun combat reminds me of an old game I really enjoyed - Sleeping Dogs. It's sort of Devil May Cry / Bayonetta but without the little "stops" or pauses, and the combos are a bit pared down which I find a lot more approachable. Think Dodge, Dodge Hit, Shoot instead of like abilities and combos that are 8 sequences long. It's more intuitive to trigger combos and natural to what you'd do, instead or remembering that you hit triangle twice, square once, circle twice to pop an enemy in the air and then shoot if that makes sense.

The RPG stats are a lot more fleshed out too, which is nice and more than I expected. You have a bunch more gear slots than I thought there would be (I LOVE gear) with room to add in more armor and weapon mods. There's a list of stats (again, unexpected) that you can bump up to increase things like armor, loot find, dodge ability etc. I haven't found it yet, but there's even crafting to upgrade your gear - everything from your weapons to armor and resistances.

Seems like there's even going to be some "Metroidvania" type upgrades too. Again, I'm too early to see them but it looks like you can get new modes of transportation and items that unlock parts of the world. If it all seems like there's a lot and overwhelming, it briefly can be but the game seems like it's going to be pretty intuitive.

Other neat stuff I didn't expect - a faction system where you choose Good / Bad, but in a way that isn't super cookie cutter. The "bad" choice might be one a logical person could make, just because it seems like the right thing to do. And these choices will drive powers you have access to like in KOTOR (certain "PSI-powers" are bound to your alignment).

The color palette can seem a bit bright and obnoxious at first but it really lends to the cartoony kind of world and after an hour was a lot less bothersome. The rendering has this weird voxel sort of look to it. I can see someone maybe hating it but for better or worse it makes the game seem over the top vibrant which fits the aesthetic.

Overall so far - worth the wait. Seems like a really good game and I'm really looking forward to what comes next. And the story is suitably interesting and mysterious at the start.
high rated
I really dislike the abuse of the word "free". It's not free if you have to spend 60 euros to get it. "Included in the purchase" - yes. "Free" - no.
