Hi guys,

I'nm trying to install GOG Galaxy but y get this error:

Runtime Error (at 53:3765):
Could not call proc.

What can I do?

Thanks.
Can we have a few more vague details?

Like your operating system, perhaps?
Since there are so many problems with Galaxy, there is a sticky for it here: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_official_discussion_thread

Remember that the offline installers work too though you will lose some things like multiplayer support for some games and cloud saves and such.
I have exactly the same problem, I get the same message while trying to install GOG galaxy. I then downloaded the game installer and got the same error message:
Runtime Error (at 53:3765): Cuold not call proc
My laptop is running Windows 8.1.
I cannot explain more, I'm not very good at computers.
I just bought a bunch of games I cannot install. I'm disappointed

You can install your games. Goto the website, select your account and then games. Find the game you want to install. Click on download offline/back up installers. Download the files there - these are the game installers. Download them all fully. When they are all downloaded, put them in the same folder and double click on the exe, just like installing any software. I would suggest install to an non windows folder, like c:/mygames.
It's very simple, just basic computer use. You can also save those installer files on a seperate external hard drive, so you can install anywhere, keep a backup etc. This is the only reason to shop here at the end of the day, you buy it, you get the files and keep it, no need for clients, or online or anything else.

Hello, I have the same problem. I installed it at a pc with windows 8.1 and now I cannot install it on another computer with the same windows. I play Heroes III and I use the cloud saves, cause I play on two different pcs and now I want to add a third one. Is there another solution besides the offline mode for this problem???

Привет!! I translate through the autotranslator, I'm sorry for the mistakes. This GoG error occurs on win 8.1 due to Visual C ++ 2015. To solve the problem, do the following: 1) Create a windows restore point (in case of an incorrect update installation) 2) Update Windows via Update Center. 3) Look in the "programs and components" whether you have Microsoft Visual C ++ 2015 installed, if installed, then remove it. 3) Download microsoft "Update Windows 8.1 for 64-bit (x64) systems (KB2919355)" If you have 32-bit windows, then look for (x86). 4) I downloaded from this site (Russian version) can find another site . Carefully look at the sequence of installation files. https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=42335 5) For some reason, the launch of the first clearcompressionflag.exe file was not displayed in any way. Windows8.1-KB2919355-x64.msu loads for a very long time, 10-15 minutes. The remaining files are installed quickly. 6) I rebooted the PC after each file, perhaps it was not necessary. 7) After installing all the files, download on the Microsoft Visual C ++ 2015 for your windows version website. Install it. That's it, now you can download the GoG installer. 8) You can try to install VisualC ++ 2015 right away, without all updates, but on win 8.1 most often in such cases an error occurs. Or it is installed, but does not work.

Why can't you install games with the offline installers? What error do you get etc.?

Hello again! The error i get when trying to play the offline games is this: "GOG Galaxy requires Windows 7 SP1 or superior" my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate and im not very sure what "SP1" means, i can imagine that i need an newer version of Windows but i would preffer to stay with w7 ultimate. If someone knows if this problem can be fixed i will be very happy if you let me know, for the moment thanks for trying to help!

GOG game offline installers downloaded from the GOG web pages work fine for me on Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit).

I guess SP1 means "Service Pack 1", so to me it seems you haven't updated your Windows 7 installation. Why is that? It does not mean you have to upgrade to Windows 10 or anything, just that you should install the latest Windows 7 updates.

Start => Control Panel => Windows Updates => Check for updates

You may have to run that several times in case you are really behind the curve with updates.

If you can't or don't want to update your Windows 7 installation, then you have much bigger problems that the inability to play your GOG games. Like, that you are missing massive amounts of critical security bug fixes from your Windows 7.

With Windows 7 you will also need to install a lot of the optional updates for games to work well.

The client should work and if you want to use it and did ensure your Windows is up to date, you should contact GOG support.
