tinyE: still fucking broken
OK, we get that you are angry but you could still decrease the amount of swearing, if you please would be so kind.

Also remember that today is probably a holiday in Poland (an informed guess).

HunchBluntley: "Most"?! Try "literally all"! In fact, I'm pretty sure they took away existing notification flags whenever things got updated!!! [/s]
;P

paladin181: I just meant that if you were depending on the notification system before the site update, you were missing most of the game updates still.
And I just meant that "most" is probably a pretty severe overstatement. (I was feeling a bit trollish when I posted that; sorry. :) )
I admit I don't exactly have a huge library, but the number of times I've not gotten an update flag (which I DO rely on for knowledge of updates, BTW) for a substantive update -- i.e., one adding to or changing the game, not just making it Galaxy-compatible or tweaking the installer itself -- is probably in single digits. Anecdotal, sure, but I can't imagine the problem was quite so bad as what you make it out to have been.
I have over 1000 GOG games.
I can confirm the notification system is broken and useless.

Many updates listed in this thread never have any notification.
Before the main update to the GoG's website update, I *did* receive notifications. These notifications were in the form of a number (telling me how many updates were done) beside my account name on the top right. So I am getting that I was lucky at that time??

I don't get that "at-a-glance" notification anymore since the major layout update. So what I'm gathering is that many people were *not* getting notifications even before the update?

tinyE: Massive Derep coming in 5...4...3...2...

I thought "Beetlejuice" was overrated and boring. One or two great lines and some great effects, not nearly enough to carry a whole movie.
HEATHEN! BURN 'IM, BUUUURN 'IM AT THE STAKE!! ;)

The notification did not sync well with the real changes, and missed A LOT OF games.
Common symptoms:
1. The update number popped up, but www.gog.com/account showed nothing changes
2. The update number popped up, AFTER hours or days
3. MANY game changes never have any form of notifications

Before I follow the thread, I only update GOG games when I got notifications.
When I found that the notification is broken, I redownloaded/rechecked every GOG installers I have.
20~30% of my games have had new installers, but I never got notifications.

After I follow the thread regularly, I think 30%~60% notifications were totally missing.
(Many games have multiple updates, that is why only 20~30% of my games have no notifications.)

Did you say they're...broken?
