I've bought Carmageddon 2 on gog, installed it but when I launch it, it crashes right after the "3DFX" logo.

- does anyone have a solution ?
- is it normal to pay for somehting that is not working at all ? Not the first time on gog.

GOG is probably using a hacked together executable that barely works these days.

dgVoodoo2 was archived a short while ago, Nglide appears to have last updated last year, and Carmegeddon 2 was released post DOS, so you can't exactly throw a modern Dosbox like Staging at it.

It does work though. I didn't do anything special, though I did use Wine rather than Windows (which tends to be more compatible with old Windows games than Windows itself is these days). It won't necessarily work for 100% of all computers, like all software, at least not out of the box. So if you can't get it to work with some fiddling, that's what refunds are for.
