How about no.
Nothing good can come of mobile gaming. Mobile gaming continues to accelerate the decline of quality, content-filled, offline gaming (i.e. what I would basically consider gaming itself).

Even the supposed quality mobile games are always accompanied with qualifiers about how they are good for a mobile game. They would all be better if done on PC.
I cannot see anything arising from this that would mean a port of even the orginial witcher. For starters, a controller at minimum would be required. Secondly, it might be restricted to the latest Apple phones (maybe even to latest gen ipad) due to demands. There might be half the grame downloaded due to max .ipa filesize as well. We may get gwent on mobile and similar spinoffs but that's it.
Funny, Squeenix spasm the world with games. CD Project has only released a few, and their current market value is now bigger? That's pretty impressive.

Square Enix is a game publisher. CD Projekt group is a publisher/developer and store front. I think GOG would make up a big proportion of the overall CD Projekt worth. So it's not comparing apples and apples. The only real comparison would be Valve, who also has a shop front (you've probably heard of it) and a game dev/publishing side (once upon a time). What's Valves overall worth I wonder.

Unless that figure is only quoting CD Projekts publishing side of things...it doesn't say does does it? Stats and figures, you make them say all different things just by changing context.

As for them going the mobile route, well it makes money. Most of us will make easy money when the chance presents itself, yet be critical of companies as greedy when they do it.

People find CD Projekt a lot more interesting than some ancient Japanese company whose biggest release most recently flunked all expectations.
