Get ready to explore a dark game inspired by the works of Lovecraft, Giger, and Beksiński.
Genre: Action and adventure
Almost 6 months now. I would be surprised if it came out at this point.

tfishell: Basically what TheGrimLord said, or some more-sensitive people do like the censorship (which I'm honestly fine with as long as people have options).

The only reason I could see for removing it is if enough people end up returning it to where it clogs up Support, but I think that's very unlikely.
I can understand that but it would make more sense to have a DLC or better yet include installers for both. The only reason I can think for two separate ones is they're hoping there would be people buying both.
I don't think the devs really intended to bring the original version here and were content with the M version release. :P

Just wanted to post and suggest taking down the store page, maybe?

Edit: Sorry for the necro, just went through my wishlist and removed the M version and thought about this announcement. :)

Edit 2: Or instead of removing the store page get in contact with the devs and ask them about a status update. :)

Alexim: It really seems like they announced it in a hurry to avoid the complaints about the censored version, but then completely didn't give a damn about actually releasing it.
I chase them for an update every other month on Discord, but the devs never respond. Even the moderators on that discord have given up hope.

I have these games on Steam, but I'll just write this IP off and not buy a sequel should there be any.

Perhaps it really is time for that.

Another reason could be contractual obligations guaranteeing timed platform exclusivity GOG was made aware of just after having made the coming soon announcement, at which point it was too late to backpedal.

Whatever it is - it's not even close to being among the few games that have been coming soon for an extraordinarily long time. Xenonauts 2, which is finally coming out for real - next month I think - has been coming soon for how long... 10 years, give or take?

Dang! So soon? I remember the stone age when Xeno 1 came out and we barely had fire lol

And they could sort this out right now by communicating. They're literally saying nothing.
