Hi People,

Many gamer here might already aware the existence of EA Classic that just released on Steam, including COMMAND & CONQUER™ THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION which contains 17 games of C&C. It contains Red Alert 2 (+Yuri's Revenge) and Generals (+Zero Hour).

If you want to contribute in bringing them here on GOG, you might want to bump up the numbers for the game in community wish list: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/command_and_conquer_the_ultimate_collection

I personally only wish Red Alert 2 and Generals to be here on GOG, but let just bring them all here as well.

Cheers.

EA lost a sale if they don't launch the compilation on gog.
It already has more votes than towns have population.

If GOG doesn't have the moxie, chutzpah, cojones, and various other words for bravery in colloquiali speech, then frankly that's really their problem if they're unable to communicate satisfactorily.

Maybe if they could find their core principles with two hands, it'd help.
I encourage people to vote in general, but at 41k votes already, I'm sure GOG is trying their best to get them here. Maybe EA just doesn't want to deal with tiny (compared to Steam) stores anymore unfortunately, like how they left ZoomPlatform.
The fact EA release then on steam with DRM is crazy. Since three of the games are freeware anyways. The collection needs to be on GOG.

What happened to ZP is why I don't have much hope.

I'd love to revisit Generals, yeah.

Buy the First Decade Collection off ebay or something. It's DRM free and really easy to get working.

It's actually more than 41k. If you merge it with the other CnC collection thread it jumps to 60k+.
It's probably the most asked for series on GOG right now.

I never experienced generals or red alert 3 but would like to try all of the games even though some i played already.
It would be amazing to see these games in a true DRM-free format. I caved in and bought second hand retail copies of most of them, but would still rebuy them here, as they're somewhat of a pain in the butt to get running on modern systems.
Try posting in the thread on the EA forums linked here:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/lets_try_to_nudge_ea_into_releasing_more_games_on_gog

Probably will be a bit more impactful than talking about it here, but were are moving from nil to zero, as far as success rates go.
奇怪,为什么能在steam销售而不在GOG上?这明显是EA的问题!
"dream on, dream on"
Even the original installer for Command and Conquer was fun to watch working. That coveyed a first impression of what the developers might want to do with the game. Everything about the game that comes to memory was super cool, even the acknowledgment replies from units (commandos!).

Also it had something that its predecessor, Dune II, that started it all, was lacking: missions where the player did not build bases. Very lovely. Then, generals took another step. Remember how the tanks were cute to see moving and shooting? Would love to see the C&C series in GOG:

Indeed, the installation screens, long before digital distribution "simplified" them, tended to be fun to watch.
Command and Conquer remastered actually has a cinematic that references the old installation screens, which was a nice touch.
