Hello,
This is for Achievements Hunters and not only.

In May 2023 I collected 136 achievements that can be easily checked. I think I won on whole Gog or come on show me it was You : )

For June I would love to award a person with the most achievements with a game up to 30 USD that can be claimed anytime in July this year (or a mix of games and can be given away too, winner`s will)

I welcome all Player's discussions about achievements in this thread, also all the questions about the so-called `achievements hunting` thing : )

I hope for support with a good word from one of Gog`s representatives, and please think about this kind of rewarding scheme in the future or at least have your say.

You/We are All welcome and the competition is open and checkable on the Leaderboards accessible from a Galaxy `Recent` page.

this page would not be edited

Thank You for your posts and play!
Nice idea for a giveaway.

If it's a top player wins it all, than there's no point entering as I'm sure Alexim will win. :D

I'd be willing to enter if you're open to doing top3 players win or reward for most achievements and reward for craziest/hardest achievements. Also maybe expand the competition beyond borders of GOG Galaxy achievements, like sharing a screenshot for a game that has in-game achievements but they don't exist in Galaxy itself (e.g. Reus that I'm playing these days) or even Steam achievements.

Achievement hunters are IMHO honest self disciplined people, so I doubt anyone would try to cheat or lie about what they have achieved during this months, if that would be a worry about expanding the competition a bit. :)

Fantastic initiative Seb!

Of course I will participate, and I hope many will!
Thank You BranjoHello!
I would stick to Galaxy, unintentionally promoting it here, yet your idea of the First Three Places is better than what I described.
Let us do the Second prize of 20 USD and the Third prize of 10 USD hard-earned game credits for the best Players/Hunters in June `23 and let`s call it the Achievements Tournament that Nobody has expected. I am Nobody, it`s me xD

It would be a thrill to see you Compete this June for Achievements and because the Table is official and everyone knows each other or through someone else, results will be official too and a table of the first ten people will be presented here for Eternal Fame.

Last Month I compared my results with a number of Friends and a screenshot is attached. Apologies if I missed someone and I know I missed many... yet here we are... to honor your passion, to let know GOG we can be motivated for competition with awards like athletes, as we are...video game athletes...we are a miracle... .and achievements getting better...

Thank You Alexim! We can show GOG Staff some passion that can be appreciated in the near future.

Naah, I know many players who unlock a large amount of achievements every month, so I assure you that the winner isn't a given. I'll take my time, so don't be afraid. :P

Good idea to reward at least the top three, I agree!
Thank you for the giveaway. Interesting mechanics.

I doubt I'll be able to play much this month (if I have any sense) and I probably wouldn't be able to hold a candle to the competition anyway. Still, let's say I'm tentatively in. Here's my current total.

I don't think users with completely disabled profiles should be eligible. I guess you can verify any claims by adding the supposed winner as a friend. Still, the entire point is to publicly compare stats and a disabled profile goes against the spirit of that.

I wish GOG would give achievements some much needed attention.
• Counter for incremental achievements (e.g. Defeat 10000 Enemies with a Sack of Potatoes)
• Total achievement count (i.e. you've unlocked 3/42 not just the percentage).
• Link to the game's achievements on the store page, so you can see what's there before you buy. You can already do this by getting the game ID from GOGdb then replacing the ID in the link for a game you own. All they have to do is add the links to the store pages.
• Do something about the percentage milestones not being added to profiles at random. When I talked to support about this, they had no interest in preventing the problem and they said they have no tools to add these milestones to profiles manually.

I am in too, I don't know how much I will be able to play but I will give it my best attempt. Since I have not used GOG Galaxy to play before (I've only played with offline installers), my current achievements are at a grand total of zero. :)

Watch out for Master of Switches in Deponia if you care about getting 100%.

Ooh, thanks! Irritating to have to workaround bugs like that, but at least there is a workaround. :)
I am not interested in achievements but it's always refreshing to see original ideas for competitions. Good luck to anyone who enters.
I'm aware most of the entries I'll make in this post (will be updating it during this month) won't be eligible for the competition, but I'll do it anyway to get a feeling of how many chivos I do get in a normal month of playing. :)

GOG:
Reus - 12 (in-game) achievements, for acing 60-min challenges (screenshot attached). Done all other unlocks as well, but that was 5 years ago.
The Banner Saga - 30 (Galaxy) achievements, was close on 3 more but this game finds a way to screw your achievement hunting plans quite easily.
Dorfromantik - 2 (Galaxy) achievement, leading my friend list with 81% for this lovely relaxing game. :)

Steam:
Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! - 100% done, with 9 chivos done this June.
Payday: The Heist - tough nut to crack, only 6 done recently for not that great overall %.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition - 2 new chivos done in June 2023.

Total:
61

Thank You Ice Mage! Your ratio of Games/Achievements is magical! ^ Galaxy is reporting 328 titles added with 212 games on profile and 199 actual games confirmed on PM and visible 1971 trophies unlocked... it should be awarded in the category of the Seriousness Ratio Indicator ....at this moment I need to ask you how many games out of this 199 have achihoos ? Thank You you are conscious like mad.... 199 - 11 completed without ach - 68 without ach - 2 bugged that gives 108 games with available achievements and 1971 trophies unlocked and your realSRI is 18.25... as long as my math goes right : )

If you want to know your realSRI check how many Achievements you have and divide it by the number of games with achievements available from your library

Mine might be little but it will grow : ) ... number of Achievements Unlocked 187 / number of Games with Achievements 34 thats gives me a realSRI of 5.5 ... and it`s true I have a big number of unplayed games... I am expecting to lose in any other than the achievements/per month category :D Good you are here.

Thank You DiffuseReflection! Well, you have uncovered a mystery of how could I unlock that many achievinios over one month. These were (most of) games I played before, and when you know what to do in a game the trophies come one after another. While the Achievements Hunters Giants already uncovered those they know and need to go for new games : ) Happy for your Adventure! It`s true and should be said that we are promoting a client here (not drm, but client yes) Yet, to play this sort of Olympic we need Official Table for this... Multiplayer Game. You know... I needed to explain it to myself too.

Thank You ConsulCaesar! Our Tournament is open and ongoing. This month is extra special as we want to bring more attention to the subject by all available means. Should we come out successful, we might be motivated by GOG itself for our work and play, the same way as here, with some game credits. As you said, good competitions, as Gladiators said "for the Ceasar!" :D

Overall it is a nice reason to invite Friends, the reason is a common thing to do. And a reason to play that game again or for the first time. Attaching the table of the first 11 Achievement Giants I know. I only don`t know a person in 9th place yet but with 600+ trophies he/she appears as an Active Player.

Thanks again BranjoHello, when it comes to achievements you got this and all posts are welcome to hype us up this month.

Next month is July and then August, prepare to abandon your machines and get yourself wet in some aqueduct. This month is our last chance to compete before autumn ; ) We will find out the winners on 1st July

I second this! It would be great as well to see the amount of achievements for each rarity (as of now, you can only see legendary achievements)

I don’t want to ruin your thread, but I would like to let you all folks know what had happened to me and, since then, I stopped hunting for achievements in any game.

It was about 15 years back, when I played Assassin’s Creed (1). A brother of mine suggested it to me. Before starting it, I liked the idea of moving like a thief (as in the Thief games), and not as a parkour-moving assassin. However, while I was playing it, I was getting fond of it more and more and my brother was like “didn’t I tell you?!!”.

But to reach the problem at hand. Since I enjoyed the idea of moving around this way (parkour-like, that is), I started from early on to collect the little flags there were placed in the game’s world. There were 100 flags to collect. I was going everywhere, I was climbing EVERYWHERE, I was watching all around in every screen searching for them. I don’t remember (and I don’t want to search throughout the internet) what was the in-game prize (if any) if all of them were collected, but by the end of the game I had collected 98. One of the remaining two I didn’t know where it was, and for the other I knew and I could see it, but I couldn’t reach it.

I tell you truly that words cannot fully describe my frustration and my sadness back then. “To reach the fountain and to not drink water”, as it is said in my country. I really felt like many hours from my life were wasted during that time. For nothing. For some collection of digital things.

And I said “never again”. From that point on, I play I a game as thoroughly as I can (main and side quests), but from the collectibles I just pick up only whatever is on my way. And when I complete the quests, I move on to another game. No collectibles, no different difficulties, no better times in completing challenges.
I will give this a shot, even though I only own games that was given free (on gog store or amazon prime gaming) .. so not many interesting games with achievements left for me.
