The Long White Duke, the Man who Fell to Earth, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane has passed away. He was one of the greats from the greatest era of music.

So many imaginative and inspiring personas, with a huge back catalog of brilliant, innovative music and video. His contribution to 20th Century western pop culture is incalculable. A great loss.

Yeah, a really sad thing, read it one minute before. Damn, I have to watch "Labyrinth" again, the music was so good.

Ah yes Labyrinth - a childhood favorite. The Man who Fell to Earth, Merry CHristmas Mr Lawrence, THe Hunger to name a few, all great films and the thing is he was actually a great actor too, unlike a lot of pop stars who fail to make the transition from music to movies. Incredible talent. I don't believe there is anyone today who matches his level of creative diversity.

Shocking to say the least since I just read about his new album in the news the day before, then this morning he's gone. I'm currently streaming his albums and they are so good. What a talent. I only can hope that when faced with my own impending mortality I reach inside for a last burst of creativity and share it with my loved ones. Rest in peace
