Not what I'm talking about. Try reinstalling your games on a new PC, specifically using Linux, and then you'll know what I'm talking about. Thankfully Lutris allows you to scan a folder for already installed games, but that won't work if it's a new OS, or a new PC.

I couldn't care less about their support problems. I'm not the manager of the company and neither are you. I'm speaking as a customer, and I would like to have the basic feature of being able to delete a game from my library.

Those designers of custom launchers should implement a method in order to detect the games you may want to reinstall. Perhaps a certain checklist which can be taken over to the new PC. Yet, seriously... how many times are you reinstalling games on a new PC? It kinda sounds over the top...

A lot of people reinstall their games on new systems, especially when you buy a new handheld or new device. This is a common problem for a lot of people. It may not be a problem for you, but that doesn't mean that it's not a problem for other people.

Right. Because I'm going to ask Support to revive games I drunkenly collect during official giveaways and will never play like Biing!: Sex, Intrigue, and Scalpels and Jazz Jackrabbit 2. This feature request will benefit more people without affecting you whatsoever. What's with the pushback?

I would use that feature too. I have two games of mine in mind. I mean, where do I sign to get them deleted...?

Send the support team an email asking for the feature. Unfortunately it's one of the only ways to get it done.

Well then, I guess I will not know what you're talking about. I have absolutely no clue what the OS or new PC has to do with anything... search for the game you want in your library, download the installer (if you don't already have it backed up), install the game. Simple as that, other games in your library have nothing to do with it. >shrug<

I don't really understand how it can be so tiresome to just search for the games you want to install and be done with it.
If you are reinstalling a specific set of games very often, maybe you could do a backup of those folders before reinstalling the OS, wich should be quicker.
Also, if the client you are using isn't checking for the hidden attribute when batch installing, wich it sounds like you are doing. Than you could ask the devs of that client to add that feature.

I have over 500 games in my library. Manually installing each one would take me days or weeks to accomplish on a new install. This is why most people use launchers and front ends. The problem is that launchers don't differentiate between games in your library that you want, and hidden games, therefore you have to sift through a bunch of random crap when trying to install your games.

Well not totaly sure what the problem is two factor authentication could work for deleting games but still a bad idea if somebody gets over that. Bothering support if you want to undeleted a game could work but putting more load on gog doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Now wouldn't it be easier to just write a txt of which games you are playing like i do with save games and i mark them which saves i have to back up and which games i am playing and simply search that in the gog library to reinstall?

So if i understand right you have some games you don't want to see and it's bothering you when you seek for games to reinstall?

I own over 1400 games on GOG and with Lutris i can scroll down through them in a minute. Plus all the installed games are pushed up to the top of the list. It's not like using a browser and having to sift through each page 100 games at a time, everything shows up once you've connected your account in the side panel.

The games are literally a few clicks to start installing.

If you have offline installers backed up you can also use them instead of downloading the game online.

Ah, it's a launcher thing. I solve all issues with those by not using launchers.

Also, why would you need to install all 500 games at once? Are you going to play them all at once too? I'm sorry, I just don't see why it's important to immediately re-install your entire library if you get a new PC. I'd jsut install games gradually, when I need them.

I've already explained why I want this feature several times now. I'm not sure why people are triggered by this idea, but I guess that's to be expected on the GOG forum. The bottom line is that I (as well as many others) want this feature.

Management aspect is the most important - with or without a client. When I try to use gogrepoc, I also don't want to backup all these games I don't want in my collection even if they won't take up much space on my HDD. I don't want to have to selectively manage which ones I want to update either. Just let me type one-line/click and update my game versions and/or backup all my offline installers.

This includes demos, which hasn't been mentioned. If I already own the base game, why would I still want the demo? It's simply a waste of space and my mental resources. Even this is dissuading me from adding demos to my account because it's going to plague my library until GOG grants this feature.
