This has been going on for over a week. Half of 1 MB per second, sometimes peaking between 1 and 2 MB/sec. Time of day or night doesn't matter. GOG is said to be good for 10 or 11 MB/sec but I haven't experienced that for some time now. Over 20 min. to download Brigador (under 700 MB). This is a joke.

This will more than likely continue to be our collective plight as long as GOG insists on using their current CDN (Fastly).

What would be a better CDN then? Slowly?

I seem to have GOG/Fastly server 13km from me so I hope they don't switch to some other CDN and I'd have to download from Swedish or Estonian servers whose data cables were just destroyed by some Chinese boat with a Russian crew or something, using their anchor.

It wasn't like this awhile ago. Pretty discouraging. But I wonder why the relatively sudden drop in speeds. Can't help but also wonder what Steam's downloads are like. I'd rather stick with GOG but downloading a large game has become impractical.
