timppu: From my past experience, Intel graphics worked great with many old games, even better (more compatible) than e.g. NVidia (e.g. the infamous Gorky 17 which was unplayable due to bugs on Geforce for me, but worked flawlessly on Intel HD 4000).

For newer games though, I guess the main problem is lack of performance. Not sure how the latest and greatest Intel graphics (Iris?) perform.
There can be quirky outliers like Gorky, sure, but 9 times out of 10 it's the drivers nVidia/AMD offer that makes them more compatible with games, not less.
I have an Intel-integrated laptop. Runs most things fine save for Sacred 1, Redline, Requiem and a few others.

At least the problem with FO3 can be modded out.

Yes. This. Exactly right. It's the drivers that they work so hard to keep up with that separates the men (Nvidia/AMD) from the boys (Intel).

Intel chips work well for what they were intended to be:a inexpensive chip for basic computer functions They were not diesigned with gaming in mind as a major function the way the Nvidia and AMD cards are. It's not a concidence that so many computers sold to businesses have Intel CHips and no o ther dedicated card;.
