The first trailer for it went up in the Latin American Netflix Twitter account, the dialogue in it is in english with spanish subtitles. It gives a release date for the 7th of July.

If you will remember from the initial anouncements, it's written by Warren Ellis and it's going to be based on the events of Castlevania 3, so you should expect the appearance of Alucard and the Belnades clan as supporting characters. It is said to be R-rated and somewhat similar in tone to Game of Thrones.

Since that tweet the Netflix main Youtube channel posted a similar video, but there it starts with a man putting a cartridge into an NES and navigating 8-bit Netflix before switching into the teaser proper.

I don't know, I think it looks interesting. I'll definitely check it out.

Is it just me or is the style some weird blend of anime and western animation? My eyes are confused.

Anyway, seems quite promising, will definitely check it out.

I get it, but they've been at this for a while now. The artstyle here isn't so different from what you'd see in Legend of Korra or Netflix's own Voltron series.

I don't know, maybe traditional non-3D western animation looks too childish for them?

I was hoping it would be live action but they probably would have to use CGI for the whip.

So it's a cartoon based on a game that has become so horribly tedious in the last 20 years. Bleugh, no thanks.

Wonder Woman's rope is CGI and in all the trailers that looks way cool.
