cjplusplus: Downloading directly off the website works fine.

Atreyu666: That's right but if you have several games with each over 10 files it's just annoying.

Why does Galaxy get worse with every update? Nobody fixes the issues, instead they're constantly bringing new ones in -.-
I would bring back GOG Downloader. That's just wishful thinking from me.

Battlefleet Gothic Armada 1 and its two DLCs (I don't buy MP3 OSTs) just downloaded fine for me directly from the web (no Galaxy). Use that method.

Update: offline installers are still not downloading in Galaxy. Hope they have this fixed for God of War and UNCHARTED, which are both massive games to download.

Edit: I can 100% confirm the last Galaxy update messed everything up. My laptop had 2.0.71, which works fine. So, what I did was copy 2.0.71 from my laptop and overwrite 2.072. Now, all my offline installers are downloading again.

Noishkel: Ok... now I've found a fix to prevent Galaxy from auto updating.

Download the 2.0.71.2 client, uninstall your current version and then install the older version. But don't let it run.

Then navigate to C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists, then rename the Galaxyupdater.exe to something else.

Run Galaxy and do a 'scan & import folders' command from the 'add games & friends' menu. That'll reconnect your installed games to the Galaxy client. You'll probably had to let it install some small updates to complete the resync

This seems to be working for me and it should be a temporary fix until GOG can un-f*ck the Galaxy client.
Thank you very, very, very much! This solution works like a charm. finally I can download my games again :)

And now after you've done the workaround you can rename Galaxyupdater.exe to its orginal filename afain since they've actually fixed the bug with today's update. Unfortunately downloadspeed is still shown wrong and they also did not fix the fact that you can't do multiple screnshots in unreal with the actual overlay and you still can't hide/tag per game and you also still can't chose which DLC to install prior to the installation but yes ... THAT one bug is finally fixed - I tried it myself.

A new update which has just hit has fixed the downloading thing...to a degree. I can see that the installer is downloading, the space on the disk is filling up, but the download meter does not show any progress, it is stuck at 1%.

Edit: fixed a typo

No problem and yeah, I need to make a correction in relation to what Marko said - it seems that allocation of space took A LOOOOT OF time in my case (a very large installation file) and the space reservation made it look like the file was physically downloading already. Then the progress looked what it should look like.
So hopefully the problem's fixed now. :)

Yeah, I've heard that but I won't do it. The version 2.0.71.2 still works best for me and I won't switch too soon. Every update they make brings us new bugs so I'll stick with an older but working version.
The next thing I'll do is installing an older overlay that works with UE. Unfortunately, Galaxy decided to download a 58 GB patch of Baldur's Gate 3 which will take some time with my internet...
