So you mean 'try before you buy' right? I think StarWraith 3D Games are similar - 1 hour demo of the complete game, and if you want you can even continue your save, after you buy and register your copy.
Football Manager games.

You get the same version both as demo or full version. Demo is limited in time and you can unlock it and continue your demo save.

thejimz: A ton of 90s shareware used this model. I can't think of specific names ATM, though.

popperik: What you're describing is called shareware. Just search for it, it was really popular for 'budget' games.
Not really. He's asking for games that already contain the full game, but you just need to unlock it. Very few shareware titles were done this way; usually they only contained the shareware data, and if you wanted the full game you had to get it separately.

Back in the dark ages I had a demo copy of Warcraft 1. You could play a few levels in each campaign and then the game would end.

Well, Blizzard didn't deactivate the cheat codes. It was possible to use the level select code to skip the level where the game would normally end, and you could play the rest of the campaign normally. There were a few features locked though- a couple of unit upgrades along with the custom game mode. Still, it was odd that the game was nearly the full version.
I've played a demo of Warcraft 1. It came on a single floppy. Unfortunately, I don't agree with you - Trying to open the chat (also used for entering cheat codes) with Enter did nothing.
As far as I can remember Warlords Battlecry 3 has a time-limited demo that had the full content. I liked the world domintion thing from WB 2 and the items you could equip to your hero so after the demo I instabuyed the full game.

Not a game, but quite amusing: in 2001 the German computer magazine "PC Direkt" accidentally put the full version of the (at that time) brand-new Corel Draw 10 on their CD. Was the publisher's mistake who sent them the demo, but the folder also contained a zip-file with the full version...
I found one more - Cluedo: Murder at Blackwell Grange (aka Clue: Murder at Boddy Mansion).

I've played two trial versions of this game. Both have everything from the full game. The differences:
- first version works for 24 hours after installation. Uninstallimg and reinstalling resets the timer. To get rid of this, I bought the full game.
- second version works for 35 minutes, but the timer is ticking only when the game is running. Unlike the first version, I think just uninstallling and reinstalling does not reset the timer.

On the other hand, maybe this should not count, because everything is clearly available for you. In typical demos, the full content needs to be coded, but not reachable by normal means.

Mine was on a CD, bundled with demos of other games. That's probably the difference.
Has anyone looked into the Gothic 2 demo? There were invisible barriers along with signs with "Demoground ends here." I don't know if it's possible to pass them with cheat codes or similar methods and how much of the world waits for cheaters.
Multiwinia's demo can also be converted into a full game with an activation key.

It's true, though.

You can upgrade the Demo to the Full Game at any time - simply enter your purchased Authentication Key into the Demo Client and it will automatically upgrade. No further download is required.
OP There was a Crysis 1 demo that had the full game in it and was removed after EA found out but that Demo still lurks the internet and can be found with the right amount of searching. and Command and conquer the first one had the GDI story free in pc gamer demo.

but then again you can get that game free now haha but give crysis a try and GL! :)

Oh well aware of this... Very well aware cause my GOG copy is stuck in demo mode for almost 1 year and they said they are FINALLY getting a drm free build without the authentication thing in it.

Every game distributed by Reflexive Arcade back in the day was like that.
