You can find anything in or on the net these days.

Happy trawling. :)
Dragon Warrior 2 (NES) has the "cold as a cod" line.

Unfortunately, some killing is required to see that line. The twist, however, is that, when you see that line, it's not because you killed something; rather, it's because you were on the receiving end.

(Expect to see that line a lot, especially near the end of the game.)

Hooyaah: This floundering topic has left me feeling crappy. I suppose that I'll just go play my bass and have a whale of a time while my chum bangs on the drum all day.
Maybe I should just play my bassoon, perhaps?

(Is that anything like a monsoon?)

Subcontrabassoon?

Darvond: Subcontrabassoon?
Somehow, I don't know if there's a reason to need such an instrument. After all, even a "regular" contrabassoon can get almost as low as the piano, and that note isn't use much in piano music. (I don't own a contrabassoon, but I have had the opportunity to try one out, and I was able to hit the low b-flat on it.)

Anyway, why is it that the same word is used for a type of fish as well as a low audio range?

Try Titanfall 2 (it adds parkour and giant mech suits to the mix with time travel). Arguably, among the best FPS games out there.

Obviously, the Battlefield series comes closest to CoD.

Then there's the Rainbow Six Series (recommend Siege) which is more tactical in nature.

ARMA, if you want the opposite of Call of Duty and something that actually simulates real warfare.

Hell Let Loose and Red Orchestra 2 are also worth a look.

There's also Spec Ops to consider.

If you prefer Sniping then consider Sniper Elite or my personal favorite, the zombie army trilogy.

The 'no gill' requirement is what makes the request in my original post so slippery.

Fishing simulators, and games with fishing minigames might be okay if there is an option to release the catch without having caused harm to it. However, in many games, upon having caught a fish, it appears in your inventory or fishing log looking stiff as a board (such as in the Yakuza series). I would argue it would be impossible to photograph a live fish in that pose.

Cooking simulators with fish on the menu might be relevant, provided it remains only a menu item, or live aquatic animals in a tank. If there is no way to beat the game without cooking the critters, then it falls foul of the 'no gill' rule.

We could potentially open this up to all games with fish tanks containing live creatures. I suspect there are quite a lot of those.
Try the Monkey Island games if you don't own those. This entire thread's premise is a red herring.
