I'm on my way of quitting Defense Grid 2. Far too similar to the first one, and the block tower is far too irritating to be called innovation...

7 years in video gaming is a world of difference

not too mention that soul reaver was rushed and truncated

I just looked it up. Soul Reaver was 99 and TR was 96. What am I feeling bad about?
The fact that Hitman feels a lot like TR is something that actually kept me attached to the game, just wanted to mention that.
I usually persist through games never giving up for good, but I think Total Annihilation may be an exception.

I played through the main campaigns, Core Contingency expansion, and most of Battle Tactics expansion... but the BT mission "Islands of Grace" irritated me too much, and I must say I don't see the point to retry it yet another time, especially if the rest of the Battle Tactics missions are more of the same irritation. Too much unit-per-unit micromanagement, reloading save games as the enemy gets a few lucky shots that destroy most of my fleet, etc.

Try as I might, I always had only few units left of my great fleet when I finally reached the southern island I was supposed to invade. This has something to do also with how I always disliked those long range supercannons in Total Annihilation, which added a partial luck element to the game.

Now I am playing KKND 2, and I am much happier with it, even with its bugs.

I was referring to the original TR. Legend doesn't count, it's almost a different series; the control scheme and mechanics are totally different.

thankfully yeah
I just put aside Icewind Dale for the better of Shadowrun Dragonfall. But that is only temporary, I'll get back to ID and finish it.

Currently I've been playing Icewind Dale 2 since it was released, planning to finish it this year. So, only 13 years.. (I may have restarted it once or twice, constructing a party that didn't suck).
I quit Critical Mass. I did not like it much. 1st of all I had to use the color blind mode, because I couldn't see a difference between the yellow blocks and the other yellow blocks. 2ndly I did not like the music. It is a simple puzzle game, but it succeeded in being annoying instead of addicting. Fine line, I know.

Cheers!
