One of the Empire Earths, for instance (I think the first), can generate resources even without access to any resources. It cheats to make itself harder.

No they don't cheat, at least in my mind. They are just incredibly efficient at attacking you where your defenses are the weakest. Now some people would say that is cheating but that to me is good scouting.

With games like StarCraft and Settlers you can lure baddies into ambushes and traps but in Cossacks they see that stuff coming and avoid it.

Injustice: Gods Among Us. On the higher levels of difficulty, the computer starts reading your input, and literally the only way to win is through spamming certain combos.
F.E.A.R. has fantastic AI but it's evened out with other weaknesses so the AI isn't really challenging in-spite of its intelligence.

I've been playing a lot of that recently and I was curious about something regarding the AI. They always seem to advertise where they are! XD I'm currently playing on 'easy'. Do their radio transmissions go away if you up the difficulty?

One thing they do even on easy is double back and flank. Those SOBs will find any alternate route and exploit it.

No, I don't think so. That's one of their weaknesses I meant, the other of course being limited hitpoints and slow reactions (especially if you use bullet time).

They sure do. As far as I know the behaviour is completely identical on all levels and they just get physically tougher on higher levels.

Whatever they do, it has quickly become one of my favorite shooters ever, but I can only play it in short burst. It's hell on my nerves.

I actually screamed earlier today when a fucking bird flew over me while I was ledge hopping. :P
