Hi,

Thats a long list, would you like an Achievement /irony
im going to be lazy and just say:

"strategy turn based games'

'platformers'

i usually turn to live twitch play thrus to get my fix for those games, like geordyjones for xcom or FTL. i would dearly love to have the ability (and patience) to play some of those games, esp civilization which looks so in depth and awesome. platformers and me dont get along due to some nerve damage in hands and a lack of patience for repeat actions but many of this genre are gorgeous graphically (trine) and look fun
None, until now. The only ones I have problem with are Sid Meier's when pushed at very high difficulties (a true nightmare with an absurdely overpowered AI), but I can handle with no problems the other modes - they are some of my favourite games of all times, too!

1. Stalker Misery mod
vanilla settings, left as-is; tweaked, its very enjoyable

2. Pixel Dungeon
too much random

3. Prehistorik 1 (yes)

4. Transport Tycoon Deluxe / OpenTTD
railroal signals nightmare
Any grand strategy game.

Maybe we can team up? I'll play the turn-based strategy games and the platformers for you and you play my real-time strategy games and FPSs instead. I'm really bad at those and still got a lot of them in my backlog.

Yeah they added a ton of functionality there, but you don't really need it. I only ever use one of the signal types and sometimes a few waypoints if I want a train to use a specific track.

That is challenging...when you're not supposed to have the "Beer" part. ;P

I stink at RTS (unless the game has a pause-for-orders function) but like TBS games.

Anything super-twitchy or that makes me motion-sick is right out, alas.

^ This. Only its more of a time issue for me. It seems like these games can make you gladly surrender weeks of your life at a time :P
Dwarf Fortress, even with tiles I am just too dumb to understand it.
You can always cheat if something seems to difficult. In online games I hate cheaters just as much as the next guy, but in single player games I do sometimes cheat. For example i would start a scenario in a Paradox game using an underpowered faction, but then cheat a bit to even the odds. Not as much to completely ruin the game, just to offset both my lack of knowledge on how to properly play the game and to make that faction a bit stronger.
Luck based games. When it comes to ability I can always improve. But being dependent of sheer luck it is the most frustrating thing ever.

So you have never figured out how to play with just one ball? Now I really feel bad for you on those lonley and cold northern nights.
