In the gaming world, it made me happy to learn that Icewind Dale 2 was D&D 3d edition, or maybe 3.5. I have that game in my backlog, but I will load it up soon and have a go at it.

Today I was very happy at church. The preacher talked about the life of a man who was put to death in the US recently. For his last meal he asked for communion. I had read about the man in the news. And I am against the death penalty, and it is a sad story. But the pastor told a touching story. I was moved. And I was very thankful for the presence of Jesus in my life.

What made me happy today? spouse eating my homemade linguini and marinara sauce with olive oil dipping bread sauce for the 3rd day (despite me offering to make something fresh instead) and him saying it was the best he's ever had. for some reason that made me warm all over, gotta love being appreciated.

Whoops, I forgot about the last thing that makes me happy. That would be my boy. He is a funny, playful and cheerful 2 year old boy that always drag me to play with him every time he sees me. Today he surprised me by learning the color purple so fast when I just showed him some purple lego blocks like for two minutes while he didn't seem to pay attention. Five minutes later he picked a purple bock and said "Purple". Hearing him said that is pure joy for me :)

Not in, but I had to congratulate you on your very generous gift that will make somebody really happy!

At work, I got an assignment for which I had no training, and after hours of searching the web I pieced together a way of completing it. It's been such a long time since I've been able to accomplish something through sheer dedication. I just kept slamming my brain against that wall until I finally found a way to get past it. It was such an exhilarating feeling that lasted all day.

Usually after work, I need several hours of sleep, before I'm able to do anything else. But all that day I was filled with positive energy. It's impressive what a huge change feeling good about yourself can make.

My recent moment of bliss was taking a first bite into a double cheeseburger, the first one I've had in a long time. The creamy texture of the melted cheese, the rich juices of the beef patties, the lightly toasted buns... It was heaven. If only cheeseburgers weren't so unhealthy :)
