Want to recommend a PC/Mac/Linux game that came out in Oct 2013 called Glare.

The developer shutdown in 2014 and the game got delisted in 2017 from Steam. Thankfully though you can still buy it from Humble Bundle. It comes with a DRM FREE installer and a Steam key.

https://www.humblebundle.com/store/glare

If you have never heard of nor played it, you should get it NOW while it's still available.
I've been playing it for the past hour and I'm really enjoying it.

It's $9.99 or $7.99 if you have Humble Choice subscription.

Actual looks quite good. It’s a run and gun rather than a metroidvania type game yes? Could you confirm, the humble page say free steam account is required. Is it really a full drm installer they provide? Don’t really trust humble with what they consider “drm free”. If so I may pick it up on sale.

Yes I can confirm that because I have been playing it. I have not redeemed the Steam key.

I wouldn't hold my breath on it going on sale. I have never seen it go on sale and it's lucky that it's even still available. I'd buy it at it's current price if I was you.

Heads up. I redeemed the Steam code for the game. It's completely launcher free (you can play it without Steam running) and it appears that the Steam version is more up to date than the standalone installer version. I'm guessing this because the file version numbers are different. However I can't seem to see any differences. Steam version though does have achevements to unlock if you are interested in them.

Thanks, not bothered with my lack of achievement in life, so will stick to the humble version.
