I'm pleased to see GOG Galaxy has finally come of age. I get nearly all my games from GOG and I have a small handful on Steam. However on Steam, the cloud saves have been with me as long as i have, got with GOG Galaxy they are new.

My question is ....
I have two desktop PCs (one at my partner's place and one at home), as well as my laptop.
On each one I have some of the same games installed, and each have saves either at different points in the game, some have different characters, different missions, etc.

I'm reluctant to use GOG Galaxy at the moment since the update as I don't want the save games on these to overwrite my save games on my other PCs. I quite enjoy playing through them at home, and then getting to my partner's for the weekend and either playing catchup, or playing from a different point.

So, what happens when I have a game, both installed on the same date, both played last on the same date, but with different saves? Do I lose some of them? Do they merge? Do i have to start again? And if I launch the game without using Galaxy, will the game still save to the cloud?
The best advice that I can give is to back up your saves before installing Galaxy. Usually they are somewhere in the userdata folder. Better safe than sorry.
Already way ahead of you there.
