I am traying install Stronghold Crussader 2 game with web galaxy installer. I am running Ubuntu 18. version bionic, i am using wine to install the game. But when i tray to install, it gives me the folowing error:

"Unable to connect to GOG.com. Please check your internet connetion."

I have already searchd for this error on community forum and the only solution tha i have found is to change the settings on wine, the windows version to window 98. Becouse on windows 98 no admin privleges are required. But Stronghold Crussader can only be run on windows 7 and higher. So this is not a solution for me.

I also have added a key with regedit, so that every application will be installd as administrator, with admin privleges. And this did not workt for me.

I dont know if this is a bug or somethink als but i want to play the game that i have bouth on GOG.com.

Can someone please help me?

Kind regards,

ub40

Did you try with the offline installers (i.e. the installers without Galaxy)

You can found them on the download page under the "Download offline backup game installers" section.

ok, the offline installer dose work. The only problem that i have right now is that i dont see the menu and the buttons of the game, only foreground image of the game is visible. I can hear the soundof the game and intro page animation is also visible except the buttons.

For this I think it's better to try to ask in the game forum directly, you have a better chance of having somebody able to help you there. If there is nobody then try to ask support.
I successfully installed lords of the realm 2 but when I try to play I get a "wine" error. It just calls it a "serious" error and doesn't say why??? what is this?
