my name is capitayn catte: What the **** happened at the EoD guys? When I woke up and saw what happened I had such strong feelings I wrote a replies to various people then and there. It's saved in a txt file on my computer though so you'll have to wait.

GymHenson: Quick questions(as I am curious): Why wasn't it postable now? Too big, or the wrong formatting perhaps?

Well anyhoo, i'll be sure to keep my eyes open for when you post it.

First thought about today is Bookwyrm's post is a bit LAMIST. I'll be interested to hear from nmillar.
I intended "[it's] on my computer though so you'll have to wait" to imply that I'm not at my computer, but upon re-reading that's not especially clear. My intention is to post it when I get home.

BTW, you accidentally included a bit of my post as your own there. :P

k, and thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, sorry about that.....was posting quick(as was doing stuff IRL), and also a bit tired atm.

Was gonna say to that bit: I don't see the lamist you seem to see in that post, tbh.

My mistake...I thought it was 4 votes, for some reason....ok then:

Vote NMillar

(that should put NMillar at L-2, I believe)
I've played in over 50 forum mafia games and this is the first time I've seen two no lynches to start a game, it just blows me away that we've let it happen. Whoever the scum team is must be laughing at us and loving it. I also don't understand why the NK was Lift as he was suspected by many and would have been a major person of interest today.

avatar
blotunga: In hindsight it's better that @nmillar didn't hammer Lift. We would've lost two town that way. That's why I switched wagons if anyone wonders, I thought there was still a chance of a Lynch.
However nmillar's last comment makes me uneasy: if you had Lift as a suspect, why didn't you hammer? Dedo posted after you. There was nobody else around to hammer GH.

vote nmillar
It's much worse that no one hammered Lift or GH, in no way is it better. If Lift had been hammered and another NK had happened we would be in the exact same spot we are at now, scum needing two mislynches to win. Now we have so much confusion going on with two mislynches happening.

I suspect, as others do as well it seems, that scum had to be involved in the no lynch happening. I'm not a fan of blotunga's reasoning switching his vote at the end of day like he did. My theory on that is he felt GH was be an easy push for a lynch today so didn't want to lynch him yesterday and switched last moment to Lift.

Vote blotunga

avatar
nmillar: Well, this has descended into madness. NL it is. Blotunga and Lift bow topping the suspects list for last minute dropping off the only viable lynch, and a no show to deal the hammer blow.
Why didn't you vote Lift after blotunga switched to him from GH to make sure a NL didn't happen?

Also, again I will say that whoever the IC is needs to claim as if benefits Town more IMO. Not looking to debate this with anyone, just my opinion on that.

I have nothing better. I really thought after nmillar said that he's still online and willing to go for Lift that we could lynch Lift. However he didn't hammer. There was nobody else around to hammer GH. I could've hammered if someone would've put GH back to L-1

Your suspicion is well justified but perhaps we should wait for him to turn up?

He's at L-2, not L-1.....so I don't think there's any major danger of an accidental(or "accidental") hammer.

Noted once more so all players be aware: NMillar is currently at L-2

I wasn't concerned of accidental hammers, just that it's maybe a little overkill to bring the wagon to that stage before he's even turned up.

I'd be willing to vote for him too depending on his explanation.
As mentioned earlier - this is my response when I first saw how the Day ended.
Obviously it's somewhat out of date, I guess we'll have to wait until the after-game party to find out what happened to Lift's promised vote.

What the actual f***? I'm writing this during the Night because I'm looking at the posts made after I went to bed and I have strong feelings!

avatar
trentonlf: Dedo gave a 24 hour extension about 8 hours ago
Just to reiterate: It was not a 24 hour extension. At the time of Pookina's post there were about 16 hours left on the clock looking at the time stamps. Dedo only added about 14 hours onto the clock.

I warned people about this before going to bed.

avatar
GymHenson: BOTH Catte and Lift have(iirc) stated they'd vote me to avoid NL, and BOTH are holding of voting for me until later.
I didn't address this in my last post but I wasn't voting for you "to avoid NL", I was voting for you because of the way you followed Lift from the nmillar wagon to the trent wagon. Holding off when someone is at L-2 is pretty standard.

avatar
GymHenson: And if you're town and truly suspect me, wouldn't you want me to be lynched asap to help town? Something seems...off.
No, I'd only vote with no doubts if you were caught lying, caught by a cop etc. I'm far from confident you're scum, you were just the leading candidate at the time. In such situations I feel it's best to let the accused talk as long as possible.

avatar
Lifthrasil: Why are you trying to create artificial pressure? At the time of that post we had about a day left. Not an hour. Even if you only skim the thread, you should at least pay attention to mod posts. .. Like the extension, that dedo granted.
Wait what? There were 16 hours (or thereabouts) left at the time of Pookina's post. While Pookina missing the extension is a little odd, what's stranger to me is you and Trent both overstating the scale of the extension.

avatar
nmillar: There's only an hour to go, and we can not have a NL, but in case Lift is scum and wants to end this quickly, I'll Unvote GymHenson.

I'll remain online and re-vote in the next 45 minutes.
Uhhhh...

avatar
nmillar: Well, nobody else is showing up, so as promised.

Vote GymHenson
...phew, ok.

avatar
blotunga: unvote GH
vote lift

It's a bit of a rush, but let's see, better than a NL.
I mean... you pulled GH back from L-1 to L-2 and moved Lift from L-2 to L-1. I'm not sure how this would make NL less likely. Either wagon only needed one more vote.

avatar
nmillar: Well, this has descended into madness. NL it is. Blotunga and Lift bow topping the suspects list for last minute dropping off the only viable lynch, and a no show to deal the hammer blow.
So Lift tops your suspects list but you don't hammer him?

avatar
Lifthrasil: @GH any last words before I hammer you? I won't let this go to no-lynch.
*tumbleweed blows past*

In part I want to try to avoid a repeat of d1 and d2(i.e. NL), and also as I said I am somewhat suspicious of NMillar after the events at the end of D2(including how NMillar seemed to be shading Blotunga in post 527).

avatar

As most everyone here(including you as well, I am guessing) knows, that that is more or less standard with me when I don't have any/many solid leans.

avatar
my name is capitayn catte: Holding off when someone is at L-2 is pretty standard.
Iirc, both you and Lift were saying more or less the same thing re: voting for me later on & holding off on said votes for me. It seemed off to me, so I latched onto that(like I latch onto various other things in these games).

avatar
my name is capitayn catte: In such situations I feel it's best to let the accused talk as long as possible.
Agreed

Going to bed soonish. If NMillar gets another vote before they've had a chance to speak while i'm up, I will unvote then to keep them away from hammer range for a bit longer.
Just got home from the doctors, I have bronchitis and hopefully nothing more. I am tired, but will be around as much as I can be.

Dedo's time post
The last line of this post mentioned 24 hours to end of day when he posted, and in my head it was a 24 hour extension (that was actually about 16 I think). Although that should not have affected anyone voting in plenty of time, and there were plenty of people on at the end of day that could have ended it with a lynch but no one did, myself included. I should never assume that people will actually vote or be around at end of day I guess.

I wasn't online when nmilar jumped back and forth. But nmillar was already on the L-1 GH wagon. And said would continue to be online. So I assumed that way we have a chance to lynch at least Lyft. Without me switching, the outcome would've been the same.

Very sorry to hear that; I hope you get better soon!

Very suspicious on nmillar part from my POV. Not gonna vote now because of the votecount situation (l-2 without a defense spoken?) but yeah. Not Good.
I'm exhausted so heading to bed. I hope to be able to devote time to the thread in 14 hours but no promises.

Votecount please
