Notice: I've got some family events tomorrow (Saturday). The deadline is guaranteed not to hit until at least 4pm EST. The deadline won't be 'activated' until I actually return (unless Mchack happens to show up after 4pm but before I show up), so any shots that get queue'd between 4pm and a mod showing up with be counted as valid.

Looks like I'm lucky after all...

And I believe everyone has now shot, which means I can shoot again and this should be a guaranteed kill...

OK, missed that in the rules somewhere. So everytime we all happen to miss our shots, one of us gets shot at random? Or what just happened?

I have no idea... we appear to have hit a deadline of some sort and who ever hasn't shot dies, but as we'd all shot it was random.

Which is a shame as I thought I was going to get a guaranteed kill... if I'd delayed just a couple of seconds Bookwyrm's post would have showed first and I would have taken more time with the shot.

I think that was a wrong statement and I would like to get an explanation for that.

"Quick" review of the previous round:

The bullet (by chance) was in the 6th chamber.

Everyone took a shot, and they all missed (covers the first five (empty) chambers). Anyone was free to submit the 6th shot after the 5th shot was taken. No one did, and the deadline was reached. Judging by GOG timestamps, there was about an hour where any of you could have submitted a shot after Dedo's 180, but none of you did.

At deadline, the gun will randomly kill one person from the group of players that are able to shoot (in this case, all of you). If Dedo had not taken a shot by deadline, then he'd have been the only person able to shoot, so he'd have been randomly selected from the pool (of size 1) to be killed.

Note: if the last person to shoot also submits a second shot in the same post, I'll accept it as valid. So if Dedo had submitted two shots in Post 180, he'd have taken the 6th shot and therefore fired the bullet.

For future reference: I'll accept queue'd shots that happen after the deadline but before a mod shows up to enforce it. Adalia's shot in 184 wouldn't have counted for this (coming after the mods resolved the deadline), but if he had made that shot BEFORE we showed up, then I'd have used his shot instead of randomly targeting the gun.

Sorry. I arrived at the thread shortly after Adalia's 181, and then Mchack and I just barely cross-posted, and Adalia posted his shot just after I posted the deadline resolution. I'm trying to get everything resolved, answer questions, get caught up, etc., and proof-reading takes time.

For clarity: HSL died to a random selection at deadline.

For the next (current) round, Adalia and Lift have both already shot and missed. They can't queue another shot until Agent and Dedo have queue'd a shot, but Adalia and Lift CAN queue a shot after Agent and Dedo queue a shot EVEN IF a mod has not resolved Agent and Dedo's shots.

@agent, you seem to be around. What's your stance at the moment? No shooting yet, please, just say who you want to shoot and why.
