Look at the weekend sale newsletter link. It looks that Warhammer sale replaced Weekend Sale. It's really strange how they managed the sales this week. I guess Swampland is right - it's mostly lack of staff + giving more focus to Warhammer.

The Warhammer Skulls sale/event is cross platform - Steam, GOG and even XBox confirmed; even some mobile games seem to have the crossover. So I'm thinking it's its own separate thing - though it may have well replaced the weekend sale.

EDIT- What I mean by that is that I doubt they'd push the summer sale for it.

surprising part is that warhammer sale started like mid week, but we are only now getting the newsletter announcing it...

something is definitely up with gog this week.

AFAIK the GOG staff are still all working from home. I don't know how it's all working for them (not very well, I'd say).
But I know some people who are working remotely and in cases where the guy responsible for task management is a dope sometimes it's every man for himself concerning getting things done.
Which may or may not explain the almost complete chaos that have been GOG events since the pandemic started.

That is a well known bug. Been like that for some time now. Have a read here:

I hope the dragon on the castle is Grigori but it's purple ... wait, he puts on the theme color of GOG? We'll see ; )
That warhammer event basically replaced the mid week sale, weekly sale and weekend sale...

Way too many sales got cut for warhammer event in my opinion...
